About the home

Crepuscule Villa is situated just 200 metres from beach in a quiet side street with only a stroll to the nearest Restaurants. It is also only 10 minutes walk to the lively centre of town or the delightful bars and Restaurants of the Paree Plage. The house is also just a few minutes walk from the Sea Water Lake, surrounded by beaches for toddlers to safely paddle and make new friends and even closer to the children's play park

The House itself, has a separate kitchen with a 4 ring hob plus an additional stand alone cooker with hob for sharing the cooking, a good sized dining room with a long table and seating for 12 people and a spacious lounge leading outside through patio doors to the south facing terrace. The West terrace has a built in Chimney BBQ plus a free standing BBQ for your convenience. Its a well equipped house with your comfort and entertainment in mind.


Just a short car journey takes you to see the Port of St Gilles Croix de Vie or the other direction to visit the busy Town of Les Sables D'Olonne. Golfers have the choice of 3 nearby Golf Sites all less than 25 minutes drive. .

Bretignolles sur Mer has something to offer everyone for that typical family holiday, whether you are a family who loves sports and activities or just need to unwind and relax on the beach, Bretignolles has it all.

Two double bedrooms upstairs have their own private sink, bidet and mirrored cabinet and can share the toilet on the landing. 2 family bathrooms (fitted with showers, toilet, sinks and cabinets) downstairs
1 Kingsize bed, 3 double beds, children's bunk beds, one full size single bed on mezzanine, one fold out single bed and one sofa bed opens out to the same size as a double bed
Additional Guest beds, there is one full size adult fold out guest bed with mattress, One camp bed and mattress and two small children's fold out chair beds. This is to help families create the right sleeping conditions for their family. There is a Sofa bed in the lounge and the large double doors to the lounge are lockable to create a private sleeping area.

For the babies, there are two cot plus one additional travel cot, two high chairs (one free standing the other converts a normal chari to high chair), one buggy pushchair, a baby bath, toilet child seat and a changing mat. Food processor for making baby diners

We have given our guests the choice to bring their own linen and towels or to hire them, therefore there are no hidden linen charges included in this price. Charges for linen are strictly laundry cost only, ask owner for details
there is also a mid holiday cleaning service available from the Property Managers

There are two Bathrooms with WC sink & Showers and two bedrooms with en suite sinks & bidets plus a separate WC upstairs

there is a free standing cooker with electric oven and gas hob on top PLUS an additonal 4 ring hob on the opposite side of the kitchen, this is to help with the catering for 12 people

The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Vendee region

Vendee is steeped in history and you can learn more from the Castles and Manor houses in the region. We are only a drive away from the PUY DE FOU one of France's best theme parks with an outstanding light and sound show every weekend in high season with over 3,000 people taking part. Museums, Velo Rail trip, Floral parks, & Zoo to name just a few.

The vendee has a fun side too, with plenty to do with children and teenagers alike.Fun Parks, Aqua Parks, Rides, too much to list here. In high season the Paree Square becomes a hive of activity with open air concerts and fun.

Bretignolles sur Mer is very well know in the SURFING circles too, as one of the major world championships is held here each year on one particular stretch of the coastline where the waves are good.

The area is well known for its network of 150 kms safe cycling paths, Bike hire is close by.

Bird watching is keen as the area is a migratory path for many species. Avocets, Terns, Lapwings. Herons, Egrets and other marshland birds all of which have been spotted nesting nearby. Plenty to paint across the marshland and of course the Coastlines

The beauty of this area is that there is something for EVERYONE, no matter what age

When you are tired of sunbathing and relaxing, Bretignolles has plenty to do, windsailing, sailing, surfing, jetski rides, kite surfing, fishing. Nearby are other activites such as pony or horseriding, paint balling, karting, Aqua Park, Adventure Park, Forest Adventure Park and much more

“Superb break away - couldn't have wished for a better holiday! Thoroughly enjoyable for all!” The villa is so close to the seafront which made it easy to transport beach mats and picnic down to the beach by foot. It was also a bonus to know that there is a car park at the end of the road next to the beach as well. It's a spacious villa with plenty of room, homely with a very well equipped kitchen. The big surprise was to have a full cooker and another extra hob which made cooking for all of us really easy. Just a short walk away is a fabulous seafood restaurant where we ate twice and it was heaven, french food at its best, with good service and nice friendly people. Down at the Paree Plage there was takeaway food like pizza's bars and restaurants etc. which was great when we didn't feel like cooking so very convenient for quick bite to eat. There is plenty to do and see in the region. Of course it depends what you are looking for but we found Bretignolles itself is not over commercialised and therefore not spoilt by tourism. A good balance of amenities and looking after the coastline. Really enjoyed our stay here, glorious sunshine, sea and sand just perfectly shared by our whole family. Would thoroughly recommend it, suited us all! Can't fault it, fantastic holiday! Great location with large sandy beach within a few moments walk. The accommodation exceeded expectation and more than catered for our needs. Having mod cons such as English games and electrical items continued to keep us entertained. The area has lots to see and do keeping the whole family entertained. We were so pleased with the Villa, very comfortable, everything we could need, loved Bretignolles it had a lovely family fun feel to it. The beach being so close was fantastic, the older children went down on their own and we loved the fact we were not forced to use the car and strolled along the seafront to the restaurant. Great idea having the two cookers, us women all mucked in and catering for all 12 of us wasnt a problem. Likewise with the seating around the table, it was fun to be all together. the house was spacious and didnt feel like we were on top of one another, with seperate lounge and seperate dining room we spread out. Nice having the kitchen seperate too. Well thought out. Best bit was just a minute or two from the beach, loved sitting on that seat at the end of the road looking over the sea and watching the sun set. We had so much fun. Mrs B Chester UK
