If you want to step off your treadmill and create time, and forget rushing about, La Roultiere offers the perfect antidote to a media overloaded, hectic lifestyle, that many people now lead. Grand Grenier Gite at La Roultiere is a wonderful home from home. Spacious and luminous, attractively and comfortably furnished, it offers the holiday maker the chance to relax; without the many distractions of home.
Well equipped so you can eat well, and comfortably furnished so you can sleep and lounge well, our spacious gites give you a true rural holiday experience. With other gites on the same site, and the owners, there are usually other families around, and the evening can become very sociable with a glass of wine or two and perhaps a shared babrbeque with new friends.

Grand Grenier sleeps 5 in two bedrooms, and most of our guests say "wow" when they enter the gite. Its exceptionally large living area and lovely bedrooms (one king and one twin room with extra bed if required.) are a real treat. In addtion, the elevated balcony offers great westerly views (perfect for evening sun), and a lovely place to have lunch.
The bathroom has a bath (much easier for children) with a shower over. The double bedroom has a king size bed. No internal stairs, so great if you have toddlers.
Further details outdoors:
Sandpits, seesaw, and eight acres of run around space. The gardens are organised so that cars are parked away from the gites and play areas. Trolleys are provided for transferring shopping etc.

Meals can be requests, including a welcome buffet for your arrival.
The english owners live on site so are happy to assist and offer advise.
The garden is shared with the owners andd their children and two very friendly dogs.
Conditions
La Roultiere Gites do not permit smoking in the gites or by the pool.
We hope that our guests show consideration to the other guests on holiday...especially with regards to nightime noise.
A 25% deposit is required to secure accommodation. The balance and security bond is payable 10 weeks in advance of the start date of the holiday, by bank transfer.
The Loire Valley / Maine-et-Loire region
The Loire Valley is famous for its chateaux,fruity wine and of course its wide river. But there is so much more to discover about this diverse region. Its climate of warm summers, and mild winters allows its lush vegetation and forests to thrive, but more significantly for the tourist, the gardens of the Loire are internationally famous and worth a visit.
The limestone through which the Loire meanders has numerous caves to discover, used for mushroom growing, habitiation and not fortetting storing oak barrells of wine at the perfect temperature. The vineyards of the region give you everyshade and diversity of flavour and the friendly viticulteurs are happy for you to visit and taste their wine.
The Breil area
Breil is a delightul "real" village with its own chateau and park, where a huge festival is held iin the grounds on the 15th August ieach year culminating in a spectacular firework display. The locals come out to party on the 14th July (Bastille day) with an evening fete with live music (very french but great fun). All the villages around have fetes and vide greniers throught the year. The local bakery at Breil is famed for its crossiants and pastries (but get there early).
If you want to visit the many attractions of the Loire(chateaux, zoos, vineyards, markets and caves) or if you want activities (canoeing, cycling, rambling and horseriding, La Roultiere offers a base where all these are easily accessible.

5 family gites. Great for children all to play together, very safe area. great Sand pit and handy bike hire. pool a little on the small size for 5 families but more than adequate. many Loire Chateau not far away and must see at least one on your holiday, good for not so fine weather days |
