Brynderwen is adjacent to the main house where the owners live but the property has its own private entrance so it does feel independent to the main property. This barn conversion has been lovingly restored to a high standard yet retaining lots of character including original beams.
On the ground floor, there is a large open living area with comfortable sofas to allow you to relax and watch TV or play a board game. There is a large table that will easily accommodate a large number. The kitchen is really well equipped providing you with everything that you would need for a successful self-catering holiday. It has a built in oven and hob, microwave and fridge freezer. There is a useful downstairs cloakroom with toilet and handbasin.
All of the four bedrooms are spacious with particularly comfortable beds. Each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite bathroom which is quite unique for a holiday property! One of the bedrooms is situated downstairs so ideal for anyone that doesn't want to manage stairs. This double bedroom has an ensuite shower room. Upstairs are 3 further double bedrooms, one of which also has an additional single bedroom so ideal for families with children. Each of these bedrooms also have ensuites.
There is ample car parking and play area, the views are breathtaking and there is a host of wildlife perfect for nature lovers, bird watchers, cyclists and hikers. There is enclosed lawned area with garden furniture and BBQ. The owners have ponies many of which are supreme champions, multi medal winners and Royal Welsh Winners!

The Powys/Brecon Beacons region
Brynderwen is a beautiful traditional four bedroomed stone conversion, situated in stunning countryside between the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. This beautifully converted self-catering property is ideal for families or a group of friends. Brynderwen is just on the edge of the small hamlet of Talyllyn and a short drive from Llangorse Lake,where you can canoe, sail and enjoy coarse fishing. You can also relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside by hiring either a fishing punt or a rowing boat.
The surrounding countryside boasts breathtaking valleys and unspoilt landscape interspersed with the market town of Brecon and the famous second-hand bookshop centre of Hay-on-Wye. There is so much to do in the surrounding area that one week at this property might not be enough!
If you want to step back in time, take a trip to the Brecon Mountain Railway where you can enjoy and experience the age of steam trains. This part of Wales is steeped in history,from Abergavenny Castle and Museum to the Big Pit National Coal Musuem which is a brilliant opportunity to learn more about the Mining industry in Wales. There really is something for everyone in this part of the Brecon Beacons.
Families will also enjoy the Llangorse Multi Activity centre where if the weather is bad, you can try out the indoor climbing wall. Alternatively, if you are looking for an outdoor challenge, have a go at the high wire outdoor course that they have. Another must for families is Cartref Adventure Farm which children will love, particularly the animal petting area.
For golfers there is are a number of 18 hole golf courses and for other sporting enthusiasts, there is also tennis, squash and indoor swimming available nearby. There are certainly plenty of opportunities for anyone who wants to be active.
Brecon is only a short drive away where you will find a cinema, theatre, cathedral and supermarket. Don't miss the covered market which is home to some great local characters selling top quality produce. Brynderwen is a wonderful property from which to explore all that this area has to offer.
