The barn complex is situated around a pretty central grassed courtyard and is perfect for group bookings or family gatherings. Each cosy barn has its own fully equipped kitchen, with dining area, sitting room and bathroom. You also have the ADDED BONUS of an additional communal kitchen and reception room with open fire, which is perfect for up to 12 people to cook, eat and enjoy spending time together. ALL OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE in the area
There are 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and 4 kitchens. Outside there is a large lawned area with benches and tables, looking out onto the woods behind the cottages. Perfect for al fresco dining when the weather is kind.
The occupancy numbers max 12 people.
Cilwych is below the A40 on the river Usk with Buckland Hill above,so you are tucked away from any roads hustle or bustle.

Cilwych Farm Cottages is made up of 3 comfortably converted self contained barns.
This is the largest of the cottages and can sleep 5 people in 3 bedrooms

THE COMMUNAL ROOM
In addition to the 3 self contained cottages you also have the added benefit of an additional fully equipped communal kitchen with range, dishwasher and large american style fridge. This leads into the large communal room which can comfortably seat up to 15 people for dining, socialising or watching widescreen TV. There are no bedrooms up above, so nobody is disturbed if you want to stay up late chatting around the large open fire..
You will also find the utility room with large washing machine, coin operated dryer and downstairs toilet within this communal area.
Back doors lead to your private lawned area for enjoying the views and al fresco dining.

Behind the barn complex is a large private area of grass with benches and tables, together with a paved area, perfect for BBQs and alfresco dining. The setting is beautiful, quiet and private and looks out over woodland and pastureland. Chickens roam freely together with pheasant and grouse -and for this reason we're sorry that we are unable to take dogs.
There is extensive walking available from your door. The village of Llangynidr, with access to the Brecon and Monmouth canal, is within walking distance with Post Office, General Stores, Garage and Pubs.
Well situated for all outdoor activities such as mountain biking, lakeside activities at nearby Llangorse, horse riding, gorge walking, shopping, theatre, fishing and golf.

Cilwych Farm Cottages are within a 300 acre estate which lies along the banks of the river Usk and bordered by the Brecon Beacons, within the National Park. The Park offers stunning landscapes, beautiful and diverse scenery, hill walking, canal paths, castles and traditional market towns.
The Black Mountains to the east of the Park gives you a chance to climb to Waun Fach, the highest point at 811 metres. The Central Beacons are to the south of Brecon with Pen y Fan rising to 886 metres, the highest point in southern Britain. Llangors Lake, the largest natural lake in south Wales is close by as is the 35 mile long Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
The towns of Brecon and Crickhowell are within 8 miles offering some of Wales' finest restaurants and pubs. Anybody needing a break from all the outdoor activities can enjoy a bit of retail therapy amongst the individual shops and high street retailers within the area,
Llangors Lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales has a shop and cafe and is the perfect location for fishing, bird watching, walking or messing about in boats. Walking, cycling, canoeing, riding, golf, bird watching, clay pigeon shooting are all offered within the park.
The renowned Food Festival held every September in Abergavenny is a 'foodies' paradise and only 12 miles away.
There really is something for everybody!
