The Powys region

Llwyncor is located in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park where the counties of Powys and Carmarthenshire meet. The site is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Cwmwysg Valley, the head of the famous Usk River. The equally famous River Towy is also within easy reach. The peaks of the Brecon Beacons make up the views to the South and the East and the beautiful Black Mountain fills the view to the West.

Llwyncor, surrounded by mature gardens, lies on a crossroads of ancient green lanes, rights of way that can be followed from the front door to the surrounding countryside, moors and mountains. Short or long walks can be enjoyed without the use of the car from the front door of the house. The market towns of Brecon, Llandeilo and Landovery are within a short drive of the property. All these towns enjoy beautiful settings, bustling markets and interesting independent shops as well as a useful number of supermarkets and recognised high street stores.

Brecon

The National Botanic Gardens of Wales, Llandeilo Town, Aberglasney Gardens. These are all in the same area and have excellent cafes. Hay on Wye is a pretty town and hosts a literary festival of international importance every year.

Brecon is an interesting town with a Cathedral, Theatre, Cinema, Leisure Centre and a canal basin. There is also a museum and a military museum, all of which are worth a visit. There is also a jazz festival every year in August which attracts world famous musicians.
