Glynmeddig has a tennis court on site - set in an enviable position above the property.
The barn has extensive grounds with land going down to the river. Set on the northern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park Glynmeddig is only just 2 hours from Bristol, situated above the River Usk in the Cilieni Valley there is a multitude of activities close by from walking in the hills or along the canal tow path to mountain bikin or cycling on one fo the many routes in the area.
The Powys/Brecon Beacons region
Apart from walking on the glorious Brecon Beacons there are the Carmarthen Fan's just to our west & the newly opened Epynt Way just to the north of us, allows people to walk over extraordinary common land that has been inaccessible since the 1950s when the MOD compulsorily took it over. For those looking for a more gentle stroll there is the charming tow path along the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal with it's many pubs to be visited along the way!
There are numerous sites of interest and fun things to do for all the family as well as for those with particular interests such as history, gardening, steam railways, canals and bird watching. There are a range of different licensed activity providers in the area who can be booked for an exhilarating day in or on the water, on horseback, on mountain bikes or on a rock face! - see our activities page for more information!

"'Great choice for a group of families and friends'"
Glynmeddig offered a fantastic setting for a group of families and friends to have a week away, with lots of space and room for families to stay without being cramped. The barn was absolutely spotless on arrival, and catered for all our needs. The large airy open plan diner/lounge, the games room, and nice touches like the underfloor heating all made Glynmeddig a great choice for us. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed exploring the nearby area, and the children and toddlers managed to run around freely without causing too much chaos. The owners went out of their way to help us with questions we had. When there was a problem with the oven, they let us use their own and gave us some lovely wine to make up for it! It is often hard to find accommodation for large groups that is both practical and nice at the same time - so this was a clear winner for us! We hope to be back!

"A superb place to stay, couldn't have wished for anything better!"
Comfortable beds, quiet location, beautiful scenery, Wi-Fi a good bonus. Not to far to the local pub and all the amenities we needed were at the house itself. A great stay. The stag weekend went brilliantly and absolutely everyone loved it!!
