Home description
Following our early retirement we relocated to this peaceful and beautiful area of rural France, we enjoyed the good life growing all our own vegetables, salad, fruit, milking our goat and recycling scraps into free range eggs via our chucks.
We started to produce our own organic meat in the form of lamb and pork, learning the art of making sausages bacon and air dried hams. We have shared our lifestyle with visitors staying in both the farmhouse and the gite, all have enjoyed and benefited from their holidays in these beautiful and tranquil surroundings.

The Normandy / Orne region
Deep within rural Normandy famous for cider, Calvados, Camembert and its ‘villages fleuries’ this is a perfect location for not only chilling and enjoying what France has to offer, but also for touring and exploring the many chateaux, medieval towns, beautiful rivers and forests for picnicking.
Day Trips:- Pretty Brittany beaches,Mount St Michel, Bayeux Tapestries, Loire valley, D Day landing beaches.
Brece area
Les Mezerais is one of a collection of traditional stone farm buildings 2 km outside Brece, a sleepy village with its own bar, boulangerie, hairdressers and attractive church. 2 km further you have the market town of Gorron with its supermarket, bars, shops, restaurant and even a chocolatier.
On its doorstep the Gite has the benefit of a recently marked and maintained 18km mountain bike trail and marked circular walks of various distances, with beautiful riverside sections ideal for picnics.

This unique breeding family of reindeer offer the chance for everyone, young and old, to experience these gentle intelligent animals up close, watch their behaviour, help feed and care for them, admire their velvet covered antlers, learn fascinating facts about them and best of all take them walking in the countryside through winter woodlands and along the banks of the river Colmont.
