The Somerset region

Brean is the ideal place to explore Somerset , including Cheddar, Wookey Hole, Glastonbury, Wells, Exmoor ,Bath, Longleat and many other places of interest.

Devon is an hour down the motorway if desired.

A day trip to Steepholm or Little Holm in the Bristol Channel can be arranged in advance, though only one trip per week throughout the Summer. The Somerset levels have a lot to offer on the natural side, including Birdwatching throughout the year.

Towards Weston along the River Axe is Uphill, a quaint place to explore. North of Weston there are plenty of places to stop up to Portishead and Bristol.

Somerset itself is littered with lovely country villages, pubs and local traditions, including Cider making. The County itself is very rural.

Brean is a very rural area on one side of the road is open countryside and the Mendip hills and on the otherside of the road there is the beach.

Brean Down is a famous land mark. It is a holiday resort with approx 7 miles of beach stretching to Burnham-on Sea.

It is approximately 8 miles to Weston-Super-Mare
