About this location
The Cornwall region
West Cornwall is an amazing location for a holiday. Variety being the key. From the beautiful cathedral city of Truro to the mining towns of Redruth and Camborne and stannary town of Helston, to the gateway to The Lizard, to the main seaside towns including Mullion, Porthleven, Marazion, Penzance, Mousehole, Sennen, near Lands End, St Ives, Hayle and Portreath.
Heathland covers the granite outcrops and the area is scattered with remnants of an incredibly ancient heritage. As you slip off the edge of the map into rocky gorges where tiny fishing villages face a wild ocean it's as if you have slipped off the edge of time where Cornwall reveals its most individual and captivating side.
You'll find smugglers' coves, golden beaches, historic mining settlements, surf spots, boat trips, harbour towns, dramatic coastal scenery, The Minack Theatre, St. Michael's Mount, The Lizard and of course, Lands End. Beyond here lie the Isles of Scilly.
Breage is an ideal place to base yourself with a driving time of 5mins to no more than 30mins to sample it all. Whatever your holiday type nothing is too far away.
Breage is a very well equipped village with a well stocked shop and PO, fantastic play park, family friendly pub, magnificant church and is just off the main road from Lands End to Falmouth.
It is very close proximity to the South Coast (5mins drive) or the North coast (20mins drive).
The picturesque village Porthleven is within a 5min drive with excellent eating options, a harbour for great crabbing and fabulous walk along the front to Looe.
Helston which is famous for Flora Day and the gateway to the Lizard are within a 10mins drive.
Falmouth with the much improved marina with great shops and eating experiences and home to the amazing National Maritime Museum is 25mins drive away.
Heading further West from Breage is the famous surf beach Praa Sands and Perranuthnoe with the wonderful cafe, The Hut selling home made cakes. Continuing along the A394 is Marazion the home of St Michaels Mount where many events take place all season. Then leading down to Penzance and onto Land's End, Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre for an unforgettable experience.
Basing your holiday here couldn't be easier to get to so many different places.
With the owners as your neighbours and on hand to help with any enquiries, this really is a home from home
