Truly lovely character cottage dating from the 16th century and situated in the heart of Saunton within a short distance of the beach. This property was originally the old shippen barn to the main farmhouse and linked cottages, one of which is mentioned in the Domesday Book. The cottage is full of charm with exposed beamed ceilings, wooden floors, thick wooden latch doors and white-washed walls, yet offers all modern conveniences.

Located in one of North Devon's most popular areas, the stunning sandy beaches of Saunton, Woolacombe and Croyde are within easy reach, known worldwide on the surfing scene. Saunton is fast becoming one of the most beautiful beaches in the area with its new overhead restaurant complex (open 11 months of the year) which provides alfresco eating while observing the beach and surf. Croyde offers pubs, shops and Ruda holiday park with swimming/splash pool. Walkers will be in their element with Braunton Burrows being virtually right on their doorstep, along with Saunton's 18 hole championship golf course. The regional centre of Barnstaple is 7 miles away and offers a theatre, cinema and high street shops. Other attractions close by include National Trust, Arlington Court, Watermouth Castle to name but a few.
