Ma Petite Maison Francaise
About the home
Ma Petite Maison Francaise is a luxury gite nestled in the beautiful rural countryside of southwest France between the historic market towns of Brantome and Nontron. Ideally situated in the Perigord Vert, La Grange, a private 50 acre estate of parkland and woods, is the perfect rural setting for your French holiday destination.
Lovingly and beautifully restored by the present owners, the cottage is a delightful blend of sumptuous luxury and rustic character. Ma Petite Maison Francaise literally translated as ‘my little French cottage’ sits alongside the main farmhouse of La Grange which is reputed to date from the 18th century. The attention to detail, the ambiance created and sensitive approach to this property gives it a boutique hotel feel with the comfort of a real home. As there is a no children policy peace and tranquility can be assured making it the perfect holiday, honeymoon or special place to stay. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AS THIS IS AN OLD PROPERTY, THE STAIRS ARE QUITE STEEP.
Ma Petite Maison Francaise has three pretty bedrooms sleeping six people. The spacious rooms have many original features typical of old French farm properties. Oak beams, shuttered windows and lime washed stone walls compliment the sumptuous bedding, elegant drapes and wall tapestries. French and British antiques and artworks add the final individual touch. The bedrooms comprise two doubles with en-suite plus a further double which shares one of the other bedrooms ensuite. The super king bed can be divided to make two singles if required. The bathrooms are equally lovely with big shower heads, baskets of soft towels and an assortment of bath products.
A cosy sitting room leads through to a well stocked library and television room with games, satellite, dvd and cd players. Both rooms have woodburners and logs are supplied - handy if you want to take the chill off a cool summer's evening or essential with a hot mug of chocolate chaud in the winter. The modern, light and airy kitchen/diner is fully equipped with charming country crockery, a six ring cooker, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
Internet is available.
On arrival guests are offered a generous welcome pack and a specially cooked evening meal is available if required. We’ll even give you a bottle of wine to start your holiday in true French style.

We stayed here with friends for a week in Aug. The holiday was everything we were looking for, a beautiful cottage with large private pool not too far from a town. Alison and Roland make your stay so relaxing, everything has been thought of in the cottage, its is beautifully decorated and spacious. A huge selection of DVDs if you do venture indoors !?, pool table, sky TV.. and a small libray of books. Outside the pool was bigger than we were expecting, and feels very private from the main house. If you love animals you MUST come here. 12 horses, 5 dogs, sheep, chickens and goats. All very friendly and only added to our holiday experience. |
