Charming pretty stone cottage, within an 18th century small terrace, situated in heart of picturesque seaside village of Branscombe, surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside. Located opposite the 700 year old award winning Masons Arms Inn.

Terry Holt has been restored and refurbished with great care and attention, retaining character and is an ideal holiday spot. The spectacular beach with cafe/shop is a 10 minute walk through National Trust meadows, (or a 2 minute drive away,) and leads to the coastal pathways on this Jurassic coast.

There is a working forge with Old Bakery Tea Rooms and Mill, second traditional Inn and P.O. selling basic provisions.

Well situated 7 miles from Regency seaside town of Sidmouth with beaches, cinema and indoor swimming pool. The popular small fishing village of Beer, 2 miles away.

A little further is the coastal resort of Lyme Regis and market town of Axminster with interesting shops and TV chef Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Canteen.

An ideal romantic retreat for couples throughout the year.

• A deposit of 20% of property rental to reserve a property. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.

The Devon region

In the West Country, on the East Devon / West Dorset / Somerset border, an ideal holiday destination.

The World Heritage Site, "The Jurassic Coast", with exciting coastal foot paths and beaches to discover, interesting traditional town and villages to visit, beautiful countryside to explore, many historic and modern places to while away the sunny days.

Branscombe

Branscombe is a small peaceful village, one of the longest in the country surrounded by National Trust land, with spectacualr cliffs, downs and wooded combes. Coastal paths to Beer and Sidmouth. Spacious pebbly beach. 12th Century Church, two traditional Inns serving real ales, seaside restaurant, working forge with Old Bakery Tearooms and Mill.

Beer, an unspoilt picturesque fishing village of smugglers and lace making fame is 10 minutes drive away. Jack Rattenbury, known as the Rob Roy of the West, a famous 19th Century Beer smuggler is celebrated on Rattenbury Day in September.

A small brook flows down through the village to the sea, with small bay and sheltered pebble beach, nestling between striking chalk cliffs of Seaton Hole and Beer Head, pleasure boats, fishing trips freshly caught crabs, lobsters and fish for sale.

Beach cafes serving excellent cooked breakfasts, light meals, local crab sandwiches and Devon Cream Teas.

Interesting Roman quarry caves. Miniature and model railway, pleasure gardens, Art Galleries, Antiques, inns and restaurants.
