The holiday chalet is only one of 13 situated on the pebble beach at Branscombe Bay Devon, this unique location ensures guests have fantastic panoramic views of this stunning bay.

The property is a wooden chalet which is light, modern and extremely comfortable inside. The lounge, main bedroom and kitchen all have magnificent sea views.

There are two small bedrooms, one double and one twin. The lounge area has patio doors that open out onto a small balcony with views of the beach. The kitchen is compact, but contains all the usual facilities and has a table and seating for four people.

This Chalet offers a unique base from which to explore the wonderful Jurassic Coast.

Broadband service is also available at no extra cost

All duvets, pillows, bedlinen and towels are provided.

There is a bath and shower. There is a DVD player and television. All bedlinen, towels,pillows and duvets are provided. Baby equipment including a travel cot, highchair and steam steriliser is provided. (If you are planning to use a cot in the property, the only room that will accommodate it is the living room). The chalet is suitable for a maximum of 4 guests.

We welcome late bookings and will do our best to accommodate you. All that we ask is if we have to arrange the house keeper to meet you with keys, please advise us of your arrival time and let us know if at any time you are running late. A £25.00 charge will be made for this meet and greet service.

A contribution to the cleaning & laundry costs of £39.00 will be added to the booking.

Pets are welcome for an additional charge of £15.00 per booking towards the cleaning costs.

The West Country region

The local village is extremely picturesque and recently won the coveted title of ‘England’s Prettiest Village’. There are long winding Devon roads and beautiful thatched cottages, and of course the world famous '"cream teas"!


Believed to be the longest village in the country, it sweeps along a spectacular valley past colourful cottages down to the sea. Branscombe has two main historic working buildings, The Old Bakery and The Forge which are popular attractions, and close to the National Trust Tea Rooms too! Life in Branscombe centres around the two pubs, The Fountain Head is a CAMRA pub & is a must for the discerning beer drinker and The Masons Arms, award winning for it’s consistently wonderful food in the heart of Branscombe village.

The surrounding countryside is a walker’s delight. The coastal path has impressive views and takes you to Sidmouth to the west and the historic fishing village of Beer to the east.

"Excellent "Home from Home""

We stayed at Branscombe on the 19th May 2014 for a long weekend and right from the start everything was amazing! Paul and Pippa were very helpful and answered any questions or queries very quickly.
There is a car parking permit so no car parking charges on the site. On arrival Julie, the Housekeeper had kindly left us some bread and milk in the fridge. The chalet is lovely and spotlessly clean and what made it home from home were all the "extras" hanging seashells, pictures and ornaments. Lots of dvds, books, games, a radio the list is endless. Also there was coffee, sugar, baked beans, oxo cubes, salt and pepper and many extras in the kitchen. Towels, tea towels, soap, washing up liquid I could just go on and on! In the main bedroom the double bed is high and enables you to look at the sea (the chalet is higher than the beach so you cannot be seen!) T.V in the bedroom as well. The second bedroom has two single beds and again toys and games for children and even fluffy hot-water bottles! There are heaters for when it gets cold and a fan for when its warm. The lounge and bathroom were both bigger than we were expecting and we sat on the balcony overlooking the sea, which has two chairs provided. Amazing views of the beach and sea. The beach is pebbly but there are occasional sandy spots. There a lovely walks to the pub at Branscombe Village and for the more adventurous you can walk from Branscombe to Beer over the cliffs. We were lucky with the weather but I would recommend this holiday home to everyone - we can't wait to go back!

"Absolutely loved this place!"

We spent a weekend here. Everything about the chalet exceeded expectation. The setting was fabulous ... a great big expanse of sea with the constant sound of rolling waves. The chalet is compact (but then it is a chalet!) and very tastefully presented. Not sure if I would manage a week in it though! All the administration was easy and thorough and the woman who was managing it was very helpful.
I would have loved an easy chair or two so that you didn't always have to sit on the caravan style banquette seats. We had a few hours of being able to have the 'patio' doors open and that was amazing! We walked to Beer and back on the Saturday morning along the coast path which was just stunning ... and chips and a pint at a pub in Beer was the icing on the cake.
I wish you could rent the chalet for two nights (the minimum is three but we could only go for two) and the rental was quite steep for two nights. Will definitely go back though!

We have just returned from a four night short break, along with two friends, where we stayed in the SNIPE chalet on Branscombe Beach. You could not get nearer the sea unless you were on a boat.
The chalet was superb,very well equipped four four persons, having a double bedroom and a twin bedroom both with storage space. and a perfectly adequate kitchen with dining area.
It was spotlessly clean and everything the advertisement said it would be.
To fall asleep to the sound of the waves rushing onto the beach is heaven.
The location is perfect with plenty of walks, The walk to the Masons Arms about 25mins away was a lovely way to start and end an evening after a brilliant meal.
We did not need to get the car out for the whole of the stay, it was just our choice to drive in to Lyme Regis about 10 miles away.

"relaxing and feeling of being miles from anywhere."

Really tidy and well equiped chalet. Mix of weather during our stay, heaters on and listening to the wind and rain feeling cosy inside but most days the double doors were open and I enjoyed reading a book while the children played on the beach and Dad cast his fishing rod up and down the coast line.
We parked the car and did not use it for the whole week. Lovely off road walks to local pubs and coast/cliff walks to Beer (time it with the local bus and bring back some shopping - not regular times so check time table).
Thought a little expensive for a chalet but once there it compared to renting a cottage.
Hoping to return...........
