Billy's Barn is an idyllic barn conversion that offers a true get away from the daily grind, an escape to peace and tranquility where the only sound you will hear is birdsong and the chatter between the animals who live on this small holding farm. Just over 5 miles from the North Devon coast and within easy reach of the beautiful beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay.

A beautiful property with character tastefully refurbished in a contemporary open plan layout with an apex roof, timber beams and floors and a large picture window at the far end to frame the beautiful countryside scene. A great retreat for families, friends or couples, the barn is less than a half hour drive to the beautiful and dramatic North Coast, where days can be spent lazing on the beach, catching the Atlantic surf or walking the South West Coast Path. Just outside the village of Bradworthy, where you will find all you need including shops, a great pub, and takeaway, and within a short drive from Holsworthy where there are several large supermarkets.

There is much to do in this beautiful region - visit the Tamar Lakes where off road cycling, a whole host of watersports are on offer, or just enjoy a walk around the lake and stop off at the cafe for tea and cakes! The pretty seaside village of Clovelly is a short drive and the beautiful beaches at Bude less than 10 miles - and while you are you must visit the Bude Seawater Pool. Open all year and free to use.

About the property:

Billy's Barn is set amidst the owner's small holiday with a private aspect, enclosed lawn garden and a front lawn with acres of space for children to play or enjoy a summer picnic. Children can meet all the animals on the farm and often there are ducklings, chicks and piglets to see and pet.

The barn has a spacious sitting room with an electric wood burner effect stove as a focal point and central heating. A dining area and fitted kitchen, with Belfast sink is equipped with all the mod cons, including dishwasher, washing machine, electric ceramic hob and oven. There are two attractively dressed bedrooms, the master bedroom furnished with a striking oak four-poster bed and with en-suite shower room. There is also a separate family bathroom. The barn is equipped with many extras including cot and high chair, and a little child's toilet seat to make life a little simpler for parents. Dog treats and bowls are even provided and on arrival your complimentary pack includes handmade local soap from Clovelly, local fudge, a bottle of wine and a good bag of ground coffee - perfect to start off your holiday. There is parking for two cars close to the cottage

The Devon region

The heartland of North Devon is the ideal destination to enjoy the great outdoors. Popular activities from walking to cycling, surfing to mountain-boarding, golf to horse riding are all available in this region. The Tamar and Roadford lakes are close by with sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and canoeing all available. If you enjoy a less energetic pastime spend time birdwatching and fishing. Being close to the border you all have access to both Bodmin Moor and of course Dartmoor National Park.

Explore Cornwall and visit The Eden Project with an hour or the historic Tintagel. The surfing beach of Bude is just 11 miles and other coastal towns such as Boscastle can be easily reached.

Bradworthy

Explore this lovely region of Devon where peaceful woodland walks and bicycle rides will allow you to embrace the rolling countryside along designated paths and off road tracks. Enjoy a day at the beach, whether it's for a bracing winter walk along the cliff tops, riding some of the best surfing waves in the South West or simply soaking up the sunshine on the beach. The local village of Bradworthy has everything you could need including a small supermarket, butcher post office and the all important village pub, that has a great reputation for good food and local ale. Nearby the towns of Holsworthy, Kilkhampton and Bude have a variety of shops and larger supermarkets.
