This home is regarded as a ‘Premier Property’ by local agents, owing to it’s size and very high standard of finish. Its delightful rear aspect overlooking the lake and exceptional furnishings makes this home extremely desirable. It has floor space in excess of 2,400 square feet and offers two separate living rooms and a games room. Cable with 42” plasma TV, DVD are all standard in this property which is a short drive from a choice of several of the most beautiful beaches in South West Florida. The large pool area compliments by extended decking area for sunbathing and entertaining. River Strand has community facilities offering a pool, soccer and basketball courts and a children's play area together with a fully stocked fishing lake - wonderful holiday accommodation!

The swimming pool area is completely caged in and enjoys lovely views to the rear. It is equipped with a filtration system and electric pool heater.
Whilst the pool naturally maintains an enjoyable temperature in the summer months, it will obviously be cooler in the winter. If you require a warmer pool in those months, the pool heater can be turned on for you at an extra cost. (This service must be ordered at time of booking).
Poolside chairs, loungers, table are provided.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

The world famous white sandy beaches of Anna Maria Island, Sarasota Bay & Longboat Key are only a 20minute drive away. Here one can spend the day swimming, fishing or sampling the many local watersports in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Or maybe just lazing on the beautiful white sands. There are several golf courses nearby for a more athletic vacation.

If shopping is your idea of a holiday, this area is ideal. There are numerous shops and malls in Bradenton and Sarasota plus one of the largest outlet malls in Florida only 15 minutes drive away at Ellenton. There are 15 lovely gardens and over 20,000 plants from around the world. The gardens include more than 6,000 orchids, hibiscus, and bromeliads

Lake Manatee Recreation Area

Lake Manatee is the perfect place for recreation. Located 15 miles east of Bradenton on State Road 64, the lake offers fishing with catfish, bluegill, bass and perch. There is a swimming area and boats can normally be rented

McKechnie Field

Fancy some American football? The Pittsburgh Pirates play their spring training games at this 6,200 seat stadium. Call 748-4610

Ed Smith Stadium

Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall

The hall opened on January 5th 1970 with a performance of Fiddler on the Roof and has since presented a mixture of theatre and music. The 1,761 – seat hall also plays host to many of Sarasota’s cultural organisations, including Florida West Coast Symphony orchestra.

Ringling Museum of Art

Internationally recognised, the Ringling Museum features significant holdings in European and American art. The Ca’ de Zan is a magnificent 32- room Venetian gothic mansion. It has recently completed its multimillion dollar restoration and is once again open for tours.

PLEASE NOTE. We strongly recommend that if you plan to stay 2- weeks or longer, you should take advantage of our Membership Transfer Program. For only £200 membership of the Golf and Country Club will be transferred to two adults and two children (under 21). This permits you free green fees, tennis, and all the amenties which the club provides. Even if you are not a keen golfer or tennis enthusiast the club facilties are fantastic, as good as any 5 star hotel. Just laze back enjoy good food excellent service and a couple of cocktails without the worry of driving. It's got to make sense. Hasn't it?

There are many flights into Orlando (Sanford) from the UK with charter operators such as Thomson, First Choice and Airtours although they tend to operate fewer flights and departure points in the winter than the summer months. Virgin Atlantic offer direct flights to Orlando from London Gatwick and Manchester. BA offer direct flights from Gatwick to Tampa and Orlando. Both of these scheduled operators also offer direct flights from Heathrow to Miami.

There are also airports in Fort Myers, St Petersburg, Naples and Sarasota. Flying into one of these regional airports usually involves a stop elsewhere in the States. For example, US Airways offer flights from Manchester and Gatwick to Fort Myers via Philadelphia; Continental offers flights to Fort Myers from Gatwick and Manchester via Newark; NorthWest Airways offers flights from Gatwick via Detroit to Sarasota; Delta offers flights from Gatwick to Sarasota, via Newark; Continental offers flights from Gatwick to Tampa, via Houston and United Airlines offers flights from Heathrow to Tampa via Washington or Chicago. These are just a small selection of the possible variations but, if you want to cut down your driving time, flying into one of the regional airports further down the coast could be your best option. The flights are often priced similarly, if not cheaper, than flying directly into Orlando

“A wonderful holiday in a top class villa in a tranquil, beautiful setting.” Thank you Robin for letting us 4 "girls" have the use of your wonderful villa for 10 days. This is our third time in Florida and this villa is probably the overall best yet as far as comfort, luxuries and location is concerned. This is not Orlando with all it's hustle and bustle but is ideally placed for the beaches of the Gulf coast and surrounding areas. The beaches we visited were all excellent, Siesta Key living up to it's best beach in the world title. The restaurants in the area can not be faulted, with special recommendations going to Othelia's on the Bay on Siesta Key for special dining and the Clubhouse for cocktails anytime. The villa itself had everything we needed and more, the wi-fi was a particular boon for locating things we wanted to do and for keeping in touch with home etc. We would recommend this area and particularly this villa to anyone.

“Perfect for golf, sunny days and warm nights.” A great house, in a private quiet location and ideal to enjoy afternoon sun with it's West facing pool area. Modern house that is well equipped with all mod cons with large accomodation to suit all clients. Spacious garage and laundry room. All in all the house works very well. Location is part of Golf and Country club with first class ammenities including tennis, gym, open pool area's and 27 hole of golf. Must mention the clubhouse facility that is very friendly and caters for most needs. We have returned to this property and will do again.

“Stunning!!!” Have stayed in this villa in 2009 and 2010 and will be doing so again this year. Have been staying in villas in Florida for 15 years and this is by far the best we have experienced. It is a beautiful villa, in a stunning location. Serene and tranquil yet close to everything you could need, it is ideally placed - particularly for golfers. The owners and their agents simply cannot do enough to help you and the standard of everything is top drawer - the furnishings, cleanliness and value are first class. I cannot rate this villa highly enough. Don't waste you time looking elsewhere - just book this villa - you won't be disappointed.

“Fabulous, secure Villa inside a gated Golfing Community(we don't play golf)” We have stayed at this Villa TWICE this year. The location is excellent in a newish development - River Strand , which is within the Heritage Harbour golfing communities. The villa itself is first class - well furnished (inc a pool table) Great Air - con and a huge pool which can be fenced off for child safety. The location is near to major supermarkets and a few miles from Ellenton Outlets and De Soto mall. The pool overlooks a lake/pond at the rear with plenty of wild life. Great sunsets at night, and 20 mins from the best beaches in the world ( really) Great location for visiting Sarasota, tampa, St petes, The owners have been very helpful when renting - dont book too often - we want to go back !!
