This is a gated community with 24 hour security guard and close swimming pool and tennis courts. Your holiday will be spent on day trips to Anna Maria Island or exploring the nearby towns including Longboat Key, Tampa and Sarasota City. Anna Maria has a Caribbean feel with sand washing the roads and small collections of island boutiques and indepentently owned restaurants all within 10 minutes by car. If you are tennis fans, the world famous Bollitierri Tennis Academy is 15 minutes away where all the top professionals train.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region

Perico and Anna Maria Islands are in a perfect spot on the Gulf Coast in Central Florida a short drive south of Tampa/ St Petes Beach & Busch Gardens. North of Miami/ Naples/ Everglades and 2.5 hours from the Disney Parks. The climate could be described as tropical with short warm rain storms that btake the heat out of the day and this produces lush green Palm trees in abundance. The nearest big City is Sarasota, a typical high rise city sat on the coast - great for shopping. This area is home to the world famous Ringling Circus Museum with a superb art gallery and Italianate style mansion, the home of the Ringlings.

Bradenton / Anna Maria Island area

If you tire of watching Dolphins and Manatees in the Bay, you can see them close up in person at the Mote Sealife sanctuary; this can be described as an aquatic zoo that carries out research/ education projects and is a great day out for all the family. Other places include - Busch Gardens, Sarasota City shopping malls, the Ringling Museum, Fishing, Jet Skiing, Boat Hire, Shell Collecting, Turtle watching, Fide Dining and Golf. The Anna Maria area is a hive of activity but with a take it easy attitude.

How to get there

You can reach the property via Orlando/ Sanford/Tampa Airports. If flying into Orlando its a 2 hour drive to the Gulf coast on Quality roads (Interstate 4) and from Tampa Airport 1 hour. Then right into Bradenton and follow the signs for the beach/Anna Maria Island on Highway 64. Gated Entrance to Perico Bay Club is on south side of road with large stars and stripes flag.
