Villa Irene is only 3 km away from the city of Bracciano, a famous locality north of Rome, its lake is of vulcanic origin and it is the ideal place for couples or families searching for relaxation, nice weather and great cooking. Other important characteristics are that Rome is only 30 km away (the capital is reachable by train in about 1 hour of travel), its not far from the beach and from the archaeological sites of Cerveteri and Viterbo.

Villa Irene is a complex made up of a central villa divided into 7 mini-apartments and the “Dependance” a small villa divided into 2 smaller apartments, which are all restructured and modernly furnished. Particular care was dedicated in the choice of materials for interior decoration and for furniture, all in modern style.A 6,000 square metre park with tall trees and a fountain surrounds the whole complex. Inside the park there is beautiful swimming pool in which it is possible to spend pleasant moments of relax.

The Lazio region

Lazio (Latium in Latin) is a region of central Italy and is notable for its history, art, architecture, archaeology, religion and culture. In Roman mythology, the shadowy king Latinus allegedly gave his name to the region. The name is most likely derived from the Latin word "latus", meaning "wide", expressing the idea of "flat land" (in contrast to the local Sabine high country) but the name may originate from an earlier, non Indo-European one. Agriculture, crafts, animal husbandry and fishery are the main traditional sources of income. Agriculture is characterized by the cultivation of wine grapes, fruit, vegetables and olives.

Bracciano area

Bracciano is a small town in the Italian region of Lazio, 30 km northwest of Rome. The town is famous for its volcanic lake (Lago di Bracciano or "Sabatino", the eighth largest lake in Italy) and for a particularly well-preserved medieval castle. The lake is widely used for sailing and is popular with tourists; the castle has hosted a number of events, especially weddings of actors and singers.

The town is served by an urban railway (Line FR3) which connects it with Rome (stations of Ostiense and Valle Aurelia) in about 45 minutes. Close to it lie the two medieval towns of Anguillara Sabazia and Trevignano Romano. The main monument of Bracciano is its castle, Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, one of the most noteworthy examples of Renaissance military architecture in Italy.

3 km outside the city, alongside the road leading to Trevignano Romano, is the ancient church of San Liberato (ninth century). It occupies what was once the Roman settlement of Forum Clodii, now surrounded by an herb garden, part of the complex of English-style gardens at the adjoining Villa San Librato, designed by Russell Page in 1965 for the art historian conte Donato Sanminatelli and his contessa, Maria Odescalchi, and carried out over the following decade. On the same road are the ruins of the Aquae Apollinaris, a complex of baths famous in the Roman age.

At Vigna di Valle, facing the lake, an ancient hydroplane base houses today the museum of the Aeronautica Militare Italiana. The museum's four hangars include most of the historical Italian military aircraft, including famous planes such as the MC. 202, the super marine Spitfire, the Savoia Marchetti S.79, the F-104 Star fighter, the Caproni Ca.100 and the Panavia Tornado. The museum stages an annual 'Giornata Azzura' air show at Pratica di Mare airport.

All major rent a car companies are available in both Airports, ( Ciampino and Fiumicino airport)
Both airports are located within 50 KM from the city of Bracciano.

Rome with its splendour is only 55 minutes away by train, the latter available every 30 minutes during rush hour.
