The accommodation consists of: 3bedrooms, 2bathrooms, kitchen, dining, lounge area and large barbecue- area( where "Al Fresco" dining can be enjoyed).The pool is for the exclusive use of our guests only (with shallow end) and is ideal for family and friends looking for fun and relaxation.
Bracciano town centre and lake(approx 20mins walking distance), offer a variety of tourist attractions and activities: Castle visit, Local markets, Boat tour, Aeronautical museum, San Liberato gardens and many out door activities including, cycling, sailing, fishing, tennis, golf and horse riding.
A visit to Rome's"Eternal City" is a must, with a short journey time( approx 40min). There really is something for everyone !

"Villa Valentina" has been completely restored externally and internally (2009). You will find the decor finished to a very high standard and immaculate throughout.

Restoration of the private grounds allows:
parking for 6 cars :remote controlled entrance : out door swimming pool (new 2010).
Large barbecue area (for sole use of our guests) includes, tables, chairs, sunbeds, beach-umbrellas.
Due to the size of villa and scale of the grounds, guests are able to enjoy their privacy.

The Lazio region
The region enjoys one of the best climates in Italy and plenty of excellent summer resorts such as: Fregene, Santa Severa, Circeo, Sabaudia to name but a few, where sandy beaches can be found free of charge or equipped with sunbeds, beach umbrellas and bars.
It's main Lakes include Bracciano and Bolsena which offer beautiful beaches, tranquil waters (free from motorboats), where sailing schools are plentiful and canoe, wind surf, catamaran, pedalo, fishing and cycling or indeed just relaxing! can all be enjoyed.
Rome is famous for it's many archeologic treasures and cites(train-ride to Rome approx 40min) ,however, the Lazio Region boasts even older archeological remains which date back to the Etruscan Civilization. These can be found in the ancient villages of Tarquinia, Cerveteri, Sutri, Vulci and many more(car-ride approx 10-40min), refer in house for more details.
The Bracciano / Lake Bracciano area
Bracciano is a beautiful, small medieval town with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and plays host to the Magestic Oldescalchi Castle where Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were married.Distance to Bracciano and Lake-side (approx 2.km),with nearest shops(300.mtr) and restaurant(100mtr).
HISTORY OF CASTLE:
The first part of the castle dates back to the 12th century, when it belonged to the prefect of Vico. After the year 1370 it was acquired by the city of Rome, and in the year 1419 the Pope donated it to the Noble and powerful Orsini family, who started the enlargement and the trapezoidal shaping and 6 towers of the castle. Today it represents one of the last great castles for archers in Europe. Famous personalities, such as Pope Sisto V in 1478, Francesco Della Rovere, and during Christmas 1494, King Charles VII of France were hosted in the castle. Following clashes with the Church and financial difficultiies, the Orsini family lost the castle. After some time and with diplomacy they gained back the favor of the Pope and regained the property of the castle. Paolo Giordano was nominated Duke of Bracciano, and the successor of the Duke, started the development of Bracciano by building an aqueduct to convey water from Manziana hills.Losing power, the Orsini family made an auction to sell the Castle in the year 1695, which was bought by the Oldescalchi family, who today own this magnificent property.

The village and castle area are full of life between APRIL and OCTOBER to the delight of residents and the many tourists from all over the world, many concerts, festivals, markets and special events take place on a regular basis, which add to the truly unique experience of this Italian holiday.
The lake of Bracciano offers many activities including a boat tour to the neighbouring towns of Anguillara and Trevigniano (round-trip 60min). Cycling too is very popular around the lake and bike hire per day or week, with free delivery, is available (www.randotrek.com). A visit to the Aeronautical museum (best in europe) and tour of the Beautiful San Liberato Gardens(by Russell Page) are also very popular, refer in house for more details.
