About the home

ILLA NOVA occupies a peaceful and almost remote setting with a magnificent view of Lake Bracciano. Beach and waterfront restaurants are just a few minutes away, resulting in a truly best of both worlds location. Trevignano Romano is a picturesque village on the northern shores of Lake Bracciano. A hidden pearl with a beautiful historic center, plenty of good restaurants, nice beaches and a lakeside walk.

The dependence at Villa Nova is the holiday home for those wanting to stay in a luxury house, experience the beauty of the Italian countryside, while being able to visit Rome, only 30 minutes drive away. Socialize with your family and friends, relax and dine.

The house is separated into 2 parts; the dependence and a connecting the studio (optional but is only let together with the dependence. Sleeps 7-11.

THE DEPENDANCE has an oversized cozy lounge area with books, open kitchen, fireplace, diningtable for 12 people, TV, stereo, DVD and a great view. The open kitchen is modern and fully equipped. It has a patio with dining table and a terrace connected to the three big bedrooms and two bathrooms and an outdoor shower. All with a magnificent view over the lake and the hills.

With 160 m2, three big bedrooms and two bathrooms, the guesthouse provides a comfortable accommodation for 6 adults and 2 kids (additional cots can be placed).

THE STUDIO has two double beds, bathroom and a small breakfast kitchen. A terrace is connected to the studio and has a magnificent view over the lake and the hills. Sleeps 4. The studio is only let together with the dependence.

FACILITIES: BBQ, swimming pool, kids pool (portable), satellite TV, DVD, CD-player/stereo, dishwasher, washing machine.

The Lazio region

You find Villa Nova in Trevignano Romano, 35 km north of Rome. Trevignano is a beautiful small village, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and a wonderful beach. The volcanic lake has clean, warm water is free from motorboats and very peaceful. Beach chairs, sailing boats, water bicycles and canoes can be rented.

We provide information and our recommendations in the house. It is also an ideal starting point for trips to Rome, Lazio, Tuscany and Umbria. The area itself offers a number of tourist attractions
and outdoor activities.

The Bracciano / Trevignano Romano area

You find Villa Nova in Trevignano Romano, 35 km north of Rome. Trevignano is a beautiful small village, with plenty of restaurants, bars, shops and a wonderful beach. Around the lake, there is two other villages, Anguillara and Bracciano. Anguillara has a beautiful historic centre worth visiting. And here you also find some bigger supermarkets. Just outside Anguillara, there's a nice
beach, a perfect beach for kids with beach chairs and nice restaurants. In the other village, Bracciano, there is an old castel, to visit. In both villages we give some recommendations for restaurants. Outdoor in the area - golf, horseback-riding, hiking, sailing. We provide information in house.

Two other villages are worth visiting nearby, Sutri and Calcata. Sutri, with a beautiful historic centre, has an old amphitheatre. Calcata is situated on a rock, only artists live and work there, it feels like you travel to the
middle age when visiting. Shopping - the centre of Rome is a paradise for the lovers. For clothing you
can also go to the outlet Castel Romano, where you can buy Italian design for 30-70 % of retail price.

Citytour - Rome (35 min drive or by train from neighbouring village) is like a big museum. Lots of historical
buildings etc to see. It is also very nice just to walk around. We give you a map that shows the areas you want to see. This also shows some good restaurants and bars. We have good contact with an American lady, archaeologist, that guide citytours.

Zee - the coast is about 30 min drive from here. There's plenty of nice beaches and restaurants.

Other nice trips;
Tivoli with Villa Adriano, Adrianos summer residence. A beautiful place for picnic and history.

Pompei - its very nice, the drive is about 3 hours.

Firenze, Sienna etc - about 2 hours drive.

Fly to Rome, Fuimicino or Ciampino. Villa Nova is located in Trevignano Romano, 45 minutes drive from both airports. There's about 2 km to the village so you need a car. We recommend you to rent small cars at www.sixti.com. Small cars are convenient in Italy due to parking and traffic. Others are www.avis.com and www.hertz.com.
