Lovely views over the valley and just a 2 minute walk to the beach and Coastal Path. Plenty of facilities and amenities within a mile, whilst the bustling coastal town of Aberystwyth is 1.5 miles away with a wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Fully equipped kitchen diner includes an electric cooker, fridge, microwave oven, washing machine and dining table for 4.

Welcoming lounge overlooking the garden with 2 large comfy sofas, coffee table, side tables, TV, electric fire, and lamps.

Beautifully light main bedroom with a double bed overlooking the garden, furnished with wardrobes, dressing table, lamps and mirrors.

Bed linen included. Towels provided for a small charge of £3 per guest, payable to the owner on arrival.

Oil central heating and electricity included.

Travel cot and high chair provided on request. Please bring your own bedding for the cot.

Up to 2 small dogs welcome at a cost of £30 each per week, payable to the owner on arrival.

The following are all provided at the cottage for your stay… Kitchen: washing up liquid. Bathroom: soap and one toilet roll. General cleaning products: shower cleaner, dusters, vacuum cleaner bags, polish, anti-bacterial spray etc.

The Ceredigion region

Set between two privately owned caravan parks in the valley of Clarach Bay near Aberystwyth, with views of pine forest and just 700 yards from the beach. Small supermarkets are available on the caravan sites and a small funfair for children near the beach. 2 good pubs, craft centre with restaurant, take-away, butcher etc can also be found 1 mile from the cottage in Bowstreet.

This beautiful self catering cottage near the sea is just 1.5 miles from Aberystwyth’s picturesque coastal town with its wide range of shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Aberystwyth is also home to the National Library, a castle, museum, leisure centre, beach, shopping, golf course, cycle path, Narrow Gage Railway to Devils Bridge with its famous Water Falls and many lovely walks.

A short journey north takes you to Machynlleth, the ancient capital of Wales with cycling and walking paths, golf course, Wales’ first Parliament House dating back to the 15th Century and the oldest street market in Britain every Wednesdays. A few more miles North is the Centre for Alternative Technology and just a little further is the Corris Craft Centre and King Arthur’s Labyrinth.

Other things to do and see in the area include the Ynys Hir Nature Reserve and Sand dunes, walking, cycling, sightseeing, seaside, golfing and fishing. The Silver and Lead Mines at Llywernog and the Water Falls and Steps at Devils Bridge are also well worth a visit.

Beautiful beaches within 4 miles at Borth and Ynys Las, with the popular seaside town of Aberystwyth just 1.5 miles away.

Walking

Coastal path from Clarach. Go south towards Aberystwyth over Constitution Hill which offers extensive views over Aberystwyth and Cardigan Bay, or north towards Borth with its long sandy beach. Join the path 700 yards from the cottage.

Ystwyth Trail – a 21 mile walking / cycling trail from Aberystwyth to Tregaron. Join the path 1.5 miles from the cottage.

Nant yr Arian Mountain Biking Centre - one of the premier Mountain Biking centres in Wales. 12 miles

Dyfi Mountain Biking – Bike hire available at The Holy Trail shop in Machynlleth. All routes start from Machynlleth. 16 miles

Fishing

Sea fishing at Aberystwyth – home to some of the most varied ground imaginable with a species resident list only equalled by the prolific waters off Devon and Cornwall. 1.5 miles

Nant-y-Moch & Dinas reservoirs, near Ponterwyd - both stocked with varieties of trout. Permits for fishing can be bought from the Rheidol Filling Station in Ponterwyd. 13 miles

Golf

Aberystwyth Golf Club – 18 hole golf course. 1.5 miles

Borth Golf Club – 18 hole golf course. 4 miles

Horse Riding

Rheidol Riding Centre has full-size floodlit indoor and full-size floodlit outdoor riding arenas, a showjumping and cross-country course, and fantastic trekking around the Rheidol Valley. 6.5 miles
