Home description
The traditional stone house is very comfortable and cosily furnished with a very spacious duel aspect salon. ... A terrace runs along one side of the house with several seating areas. The extensive, beautiful garden is very private with stunning views. Each sunset is unique and beautiful to watch in the evenings , with only the sound of the birds and crickets breaking the silence , while having your dinner outdoors. There is so much to discover in this part of the Dordogne, with its castles, restaurants, famous caves, golf areas, horse back riding, air balloon, even make a trip on the river Dordogne with a canoe. It is even nearby the department of the Lot, with also beautiful places to visit.

A wonderful place to relax, to walk and discover the beautiful area in the south of the Dordogne - also very close to the department of the Lot with its equally beautiful places to visit and wonderful shopping, brocantes, vide-greniers
The Sarlat-region is the gate of Prehistory along the Vézère and the Dordogne Valleys. The breathtaking landscapes have been handed down from time beyond the men.
Montignac, Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Le Bugue, Limeuil and Sarlat are the highspots of harmony and the route down the historic valley is lined with peerless castles such as Montfort, Beynac, Castelnaud and Fenelon. Eastwards is the pilgrimage town of Rocamadour, perched on the cliffs of the gorge and the underground lakes of the Gouffre de Padirac, with its amazing stalactities. Take breathtaking drives to pretty villages clinging to steep cliffs and the many rivers and lakes in the area. The wealth of sightseeing in this area is unique.
Bouzic area
The hamlet of Malecourse lies on the top of a hill (222mtrs) and is within the commune of Bouzic which is within easy reach of Domme with its breathtaking views and medieval streets and caves. Take a trip along the Dordogne on one of the traditional 'gabarres' from La Roque Gaceac, the beautiful village carved into the limestone cliffs. Alternatively, visit one of the grand chateaux or beautiful gardens of the area. Spend a glorious day following the river by canoe or visit one of the numerous prehistoric caves.
The house is for family holidays, but we cam also organize Painting Holidays, with a famous Impresionist, Pierre van Dyk, who lives and works here in the beautiful landscapes of the Dordogne. His workshops will be given to a group of 6 people or even less, so you will get all the attention you need. You will be free to create what you like. He works and lives only 2 km from this holiday house, so if you're interested.. if one of your family likes to paint or combine it with a family-holiday. Or maybe you do prefere coming with friends... it's all possible!
Activites in the area include rock climbing, paragliding, fishing, golf and swimming from local river and lakeside beaches at Grolejac, as well as microlight and pleasure flights- together with horse riding at Sarlat and tennis locally at Cénac - and of course you can take a canoe along the river Dordogne.

Further details indoors: The house is very well equipped and cosily furnished. There is satellite television, DVD and CD player.
The salon also benefits from the addition of a woodburning fire. The large, well equipped kitchen also has a table and 6 chairs for sociable family meals. The three good sized bedrooms, each have their own fitted wash hand basins.
The master bedroom is very large, has a double bed and a comfortable sitting area with sofa and coffee table, and also a private terrace at his side,with lovely view over the valley, for a peaceful breakfast.
Next to this you hve your own shower room, where the washing machine and tumbledryer are located. The charming second and thirth bedroom have twin beds , easy changable in a double bed, or use separately, Also present , all the things you need for a baby. ( Bed, cot, bath, highchair, etc)
Further details outdoors: There is a stone patio along the length of the house, with a further terrace in a separate area in the garden overlooking the pine-valley, . The property has lovely sunny and shady areas in which to sit and relax. Sun loungers are provided and there is a table tennis set available also.
There is very safe and ample private parking for guests in the grounds of the house, in the shade!
The house is located at a 20 min drive to the famous midle age city of Sarlat, also 1 and a half hour drive to Bergerac airport and a 2 hours drive to Limoges airport

Price for the gaz bottle (cooking) is also included! Electric heating costs will be charged when season needs it! Cleaning can be done by the owner if asked
Conditions
The prices quoted includes the supply of linen , also a gazbottle for the cooking, but not included is the electrical heating , if necessary in early spring , autumn and winter. A n extra amount of 30/40 euros can be asked, you can check this with the owner, it depends what each season brings for the weather. Also 20€ will be asked for extra bedlinen (anti-allergic), when a baby/little child bed , cot and baby-bath is required.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. Prices quoted are for the property per week, including all linen and towels. October untill May wil also be charged with electrical heathing costs! Holiday lettings are by the week, from 5 PM on arrival date, untill 10 AM departure date! PLEASE NOTE: Tenants are asked to leave the property clean and tidy, also taking care for the last linen-wash and final house-dirt. Should the property be left in a condition which ask more intensive cleaning, (especially kitchen -and bathroomspace), then this will be charged charged for 15€ an hour and will be deducted from the security deposit. Final cleaning can be done by the owner (90€) The prices quoted for spring and autumn include the costs of electric heating and gazbottle (cooking) in the property. If booking is made prior than 6 weeks before letting, a rental deposit of 25% of the rental sum is to be forwarded with confirmation of the booking form, together with 200€ security deposit, which will be returned to the tenant, within 14 days of the return of the keys to the owner, less deductions in accordance with the conditions listed in the booking form. When heating is required,40€ will be extra charged! The security deposit of 200Euros will be returned after the final housekeeping inspection within 14days after your departial.
