Juniperus offers superb accommodation for up to 8 adults plus up to 2 babies/toddlers, a private swimming pool (8m x 4m x 1.4m) and your own gardens, none of which are overlooked.
Juniperus has one King-size bedroom plus en suite bathroom, one double bedroom plus en suite bathroom and two twin bedrooms, two separate wcs and an additional shower room. All the beds, mattresses, linen and towels are new and of good quality.
This light, spacious and totally equipped home is fully furnished and stylishly decorated in bright, modern, summer colours.
The all-electric kitchen and separate dining room cater for at least 8 people. A high chair, a cot and a baby bath are available if required.
The lower apartment, Genevrier, will not be rented out during your stay as we use it for storing extra bedding, linen and towels and for our own occasional visits.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region
Close to the Charente border, midway between Angouleme and Perigueux, Juniperus is within walking/cycling distance of several pretty villages, with market towns, chateaux, rivers and sporting activities within 30 minutes' drive. Cafes, bars and good-value restaurants abound. This is the lush, green part of France with country lanes, little traffic and rolling wooded valleys; one of the sunniest regions without being oppressively hot.
Bouteilles St Sebastien area
Bouteilles St.Sebastien is a 15 minute walk offering wonderful long-distance rural views and a bar/restaurant at the end! St. Severin, just 4 km away has a Spar supermarket open every day (inc. Sunday mornings), baker, butchers, bank, post office, doctor, dentist, pharmacy and hotel/restaurant. Riberac, just 12 km to the south, is a major town with a large and lively Friday market and all the essential facilities, including three hypermarkets.
How to get there
By car from St. Malo (340 miles), Caen, Cherboug & Le Havre (380 miles), or Calais/Tunnel (up to 550 miles). Fly to Bergerac (1hour), Bordeaux, Poitiers or Limoges (all well within 2 hours' drive). Eurostar to Lille or Paris, then TGV to Angouleme (then 30 miles by hire car). We supply full driving route suggestions.

Further details indoors: A satelite dish receives British digital TV and radio programmes. There is an attached DVD player, video player and an additional CD player. The bookcases contain a wide variety of DVDs, videos, cds, books and board games for all ages.
A Welcome Pack of essential groceries and drinks awaits all guests.
Plenty of kitchen & bathrom consumables (detergents, loo paper, cling film, cooking oils etc.) are provided.
Further details outdoors: The vaulted, beamed dining room leads via a sliding wall of double-glazed patio doors to a terrace and the private swimming pool that is unfenced. The pool is fitted with an ALARM meeting French Government Standard NF P 90-307. However, young children must always be supervised and the owners accept no liability for accidents. The dining terrace with additional table and chairs is shaded by a roll-out sunblind, as is the balcony from the lounge. Separate outdoor dining furniture sits on a paved patio further from the pool.
There are several sunbeds and parasols around the pool and on the lawn. Both look out over spectaular views. There is a concrete-built charcoal barbecue.
On adjacent land there is a small wood for short walks and a flat grassy field for ball games. There is some sports equipment on site (principally for children) including volleyball, badminton, croquet and we have a large, shared petanque court.
Conditions
25% deposit upon confirmation of availability together with a completed Booking Form. Balance 8 weeks before arrival, plus a £200 per week security deposit cheque. This will not be cashed but returned within 7 days of departure less the cost of any breakages, loss or extra cleaning.
