BookThe West Country / Dorset region
Dorset has many attractions offering something for everyone. Its coastline extends some 140 kilometres from Lyme Regis to Christchurch and offers a selection of the finest sandy beaches in the British Isles. The region owes much of its charm to its villages which are well worth exploring such as Corfe Castle, Worth Matravers, Athelhampton, Milton Abbas and many more. Dorset also boasts several new leisure centres, two dry-ski slopes, fabulous country houses and a multitude of museums.
The main towns of Bournemouth and Poole are a hive of night-time activity. Poole Arts Centre is the home of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Nearby Tower Park is the largest leisure complex in Europe with facilities including a water park, ice-rink, eight screen cinema and ten pin bowling alley. Theatres include the Pavilion in Bournemouth, the Pavilion in Weymouth, the Regent Centre in Christchurch and the Tivoli in Wimborne. In addition, the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) is one of England's leading venues for appearances by international stars.
The Bournemouth / Sandbanks area
With its award winning beaches, which stretch for miles, Sandbanks is a great UK holiday location for the whole family. The harbour, which is just a few minutes walk away, offers shallow and safe waters ideal for water enthusiasts looking to improve or learn to windsurf/kite-surf. Other available water sports include catamaran sailing, water skiing, wakeboarding, dinghy sailing, jet skiing and kayaking. Equipment hire and lessons are readily available. The chain ferry at the end of the peninsular gives access on foot, bike or car to Shell Bay, Studland's stunning National Trust beaches and areas of natural beauty ideal for rambling. Rock climbing and Scuba diving are also available in Swanage, which is just a short trip away. For family days out there are an abundance of activities suitable for all age groups. In the evenings there are excellent bistros, restaurants and bars within a short distance of the apartment.

This apartment is true luxury, from the fantastic kitchen, large lounge with huge TV and the 3 bedrooms all with their own wallmounted TVs, the 3 bathrooms and not to forget the underground parking with a lift to the apartment door made this place so easy to stay. We have 3 young children and despite the weather, the apartment is so well designed that we could all be together or have some time alone in a room with our TV, internet, book etc. The kids loved the nearby chain car ferry which took us across the mouth of Poole harbour to a short drive away to the National Trust quaint thatched rooved village at the base of Corfe Castle, which had an easter hunt and the kids (+ parents) loved. Would definatelty recommned this apartment and are looking forward to staying here in the summer to take advantage of the beaches which are a short walk away. |
