Dorset offers many attractions and offers something for everyone, within a short drive there is the Monkey world sanctuary, Durdle Door, Dorchester has the Dinosaur museum, Tutankhamum exhibition and National trust owned Athelhampton House and gardens. Corfe castle is nearby as is the Swanage Steam railway and acclaimed Compton Acres gardens. Poole offers great local boat trips including Dorset lakes, Isle of Wight, Swanage and the World Heritage Jurassic coastline. Whereas Bournemouth has fantastic shopping, The Bournemouth Eye hot air balloon, theatre and an oceanarium.

A couple of minutes walk to the ferry to shellbay, Studland and the National Trust Brownsea Island, a retreat for red squirrels.
