Eleanor House is a mid-terrace, recently refurbished Neo-Georgian House in the heart of Lymington. Located just a short walk from the town centre and perfectly situated for the Isle of Wight ferry.

Internally, the traditionally furnished property features a wood burning stove and trundle bed suitable for an additional guest. Externally, the property features a secured rear furnished patio perfect for relaxing after a long day exploring.

The Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the coast in the beautiful New Forest National Park, between Southampton and Bournemouth. Famous for its sailing history, there are two large marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The town's narrow streets are lined with pretty period cottages and houses, as well as plenty of local pubs and restaurants.

Lymington is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the New Forest, where opportunities for outdoor activities are abundant. The Solent Way footpath provides a great coastal walk with fantastic views of the Needles and the Isle of Wight. Located just outside of the town is the Wightlink ferry port, from which a car ferry travels to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight.

The New Forest National Park is home to endless villages with their own quirky histories, and there are all kinds of family attractions and things to see. You can't miss the wild New Forest ponies roaming the park, and they've been a common sight throughout the area for more than 2000 years. If you're thinking about an active New Forest Holiday, you'll find miles of cycle routes and walks to enjoy too.

The New Forest is home to more family attractions. The New Forest Tour is a must during a holiday, as the open top bus takes visitors right through the heart of the stunning region for the best possible views, and they even let cycles on. Beaulieu is another favourite New Forest attraction, and with its Palace House and famous National Motor Museum it's all rather grand!

Within a ten mile drive are the popular towns of Christchurch and Bournemouth. Both inviting with a range of activities including fishing, historical museums and Dorset's number one family theme park Adventure Wonderland.

The Dorset region

Dorsetâ??s beautiful and dramatic scenery has long made the county a favourite with writers, poets and film crews. Jurassic cliffs plunge alongside picturesque harbour towns and coastal resorts, providing an impressive backdrop for the many popular Dorset holiday destinations. Blue Chip Holidays can offer Dorset holiday cottages in many of the countyâ??s towns, each of which has a slightly different experience to offer than the next.

Poole has one of the worldâ??s largest natural harbours

Portland Castle was built in 1539 by Henry VIII to defend Weymouth

Tours of Thomas Hardyâ??s Dorset are operated throughout the county

Bournemouth is Dorsetâ??s most popular coastal town, and remains a favourite resort with visitors of all ages. Bournemouthâ??s rolling sandy beaches, palm-lined walks and bubbly nightlife attract young people, families and the retired to get away from it all by the sea. Bournemouth has been renowned as an ideal location for rest and recuperation since the 1800s, and many travelled each year to benefit from its seawater and pine air.

Visitors to Bournemouth can still take a stroll to the beach along â??Invalidâ??s Walkâ??, which is sheltered by a long row of palm trees and was planted by Lewis Tregonwell â?? who founded Bournemouth as a settlement. Bournemouth is home to more than 2000 acres of gardens and parks, so there is always a new path to stroll or garden to admire during your stay.
