The garden area is finished off with an outdoor shower, safe areas for storing bike(s) and Kyack(s) or washing down wet suits after using the surf reef at nearby Boscombe pier.
This property is on the ground floor of large detached house & comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 are tripple sized with double beds & one is double sized a lounge/diner with corner couch converting to double bed with access out to the secluded sun deck areas & rear garden facilities.
A short walk of 100 meters to the green cliff top walk areas which are quite safe for kids and a great start point for riding your bikes or going down to the golden beaches via zigzag sloped access.
A short walk from the house in the other direction some 5 minutes gets you to the main shopping areas in Southbourne, or a short car or bus journey takes you into the vibrant town of Bournemouth with its great nightlife.
Relaxing at Tranquillity is a great place to enjoy the facilities and the owner is friendly and available to help out and maintain the facilities. A place you would surely recommend and think to come back to again and again.

The floors are all wooden and the garden area decked and with artificial grass which looks real and is a lush thick green.
The property is decorated in minimalist beach style and the rooms are large and warmly detailed.

Payment options flexible
We usually take payments via the HolidayLettings managed payment system via PayPal. We make a charge of £10 to cover our costs for using this facility.
Refunds of security deposits are usually made via PayPal to you, usually within one week after departure.
The West Country / Dorset region
Southbourne is situated along the bay of Bournemouth between Bournemouth and Christchurch.
From Sandbanks in Poole the golden beaches and Promenade run up to Hengistbury Head with Bournemouth Pier and the Boscombe Surf Reef in the middle.
Hengistbury Head is a great day out either by a combination of Open Top Bus, Boat through the Christchurch Harbour and Land Train through the nature reserve. This is also a nice day out for a family with bikes, the beaches at Hengistbury head are very lovely for relaxing and a 5 minute boat trip takes you across the harbour entrance to Mudeford Quay in the historic town of Christchurch. Another boat takes you on a 30 minute trip from Hengistbury Head to Tuckton where its a short bus trip or half an hour walk back to Tranquillity.
Hengistbury Head is a nature reserve with private roads which the land train runs on. Sights to see are the famous viking burial mound, the double dykes made in the stone age, the harbour on one side and the sea on the other, the bird sanctuary is along the route as well.
Christchurch is an old town and some of the buildings near the Priory still have the stars on them from the times when you had to pay the fire department before they would attempt to rescue the building. The Priory is very large and is at the head of two rivers The Stour and The Avon which flow into the Christchurch Harbour.
The Priory is nearly a thousand years old and a very interesting visit, containing some legends and the Priory school, now a museum, St Michael's loft. Christchurch is a great day out to walk around, see the two castle house ruins, walk along the riverside and see the art at the Old Mill.
Southbourne has very good access to the shops, the beach and safe cliff top walks, an ideal place for a family relaxed or activity holiday.
The Bournemouth / Southbourne area
Each year the Bournemouth International Air Show is put on for 4 days in the summer. 2013 dates are THURSDAY 29th AUGUST - SUNDAY 1st SEPTEMBER 2013. The Red Arrows display team put on a performance and the Army helicopters come in to battle alongside the Marines along the beach side and the cliff top viewing is perfect for a day of fun. This is a hugely fun packed event with lots of vendors and activities. Usually jets like the Typhoon, Eurofighter, F16's give a display as well as the older Lancaster Bomber and Spitfires. Wing Walkers also perform.
Various art and musical events happen in the parks both in Christchurch and Bournemouth.
Some very good day out trips to Beaulie Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, Boats out to Swanage and along the Jurassic Coast are all very accessible from Southbourne.

Budget airlines fly to & from Bournemouth International Airport and its about a 10 minutes car drive to Tranquillity your home away from home by the beach in Southbourne.
Good road systems lead into the area from out of town both via dual carriageway and motorway from London directions and through the new forest areas to the lively resort town of Bournemouth & Poole.
Budget Car Rental offer reasonable prices and fully comprehensive service and have several branches in the area, one in Pokesdown area near Southbourne and the other nearby in the historic town of Christchurch.
Cross channel ferry to and from Cherbourgh, France operates to port through Poole Harbour which is a 25 minute drive from Southbourne, Bournemouth along the coastal route.

Well if there's one thing that you can't rely upon it's the British weather. Thankfully whilst it was a less than balmy 2 degrees and rainy outside of the hot tub; inside it was a most pleasant 35 degrees. The house is a good size and fantastically kitted out; the owner (Michael) is friendly and helped us out with all our enquiries. I would definitely recommend and we look forward to hopefully staying again!

The property was in good condition. The place was clean and on first inspection all seemed to work. Unfortunately as the weekend went on it transpired that a number of pieces of equipment did not... more

I stayed here with a group friends for our graduation week in November. Before our arrival I was dubious as to how good the facilities would be and whether this house really did exist...it seemed too perfect for our needs.
I was amazed! The house is nicely furnished and the hot tub was a key feature to the enormous amounts of fun we had during our stay. The outdoor area is fantastic, which includes a bar and outside heaters...perfect for groups wanting to party and for social occasions. It was ideally situated right near the beach and close enough for us to get into Bournemouth town centre both day and night. The on site manager was more than helpful and made our stay very comfortable.
One criticism would be that there is only one toilet, which is part of the wet room. As there was a lot of us sharing in the house it did become difficult with us all showering and not being able to get into the toilet. The floor did become wet which also makes it difficult for others wanting to use the toilet.
That said, we all agreed that our graduation week wouldn't of been the same without this house! I highly recommend a stay here.

- Rental rates for up to 12 people:
Besides the main apartment (max 10 people in 3 rooms) We have four extra double rooms in the main house, subject to availability. Please enquire as to rates and specify 1,2,3 or 4 extra double rooms preferance. The pricing for 14 people is for additional two double rooms as well as the ground floor apartment with sole use of the facilities at the back. Use of extra - kitchen, dinning area, bathroom & WC are shared in the main house.
- Rental rates for up to 10 people:
This is maximum occupancy of the ground floor apartment, 2 tripple sized rooms have double beds and double bed couch, the 3rd room has large corner couch which converts to double bed. NOTE: We are intending on adding a chalet with double bed and its own shower/WC and vanity unit for the summer.
- Rental rates for up to 6 people:
Ideal occupancy of the ground floor apartment, double bed sleeping in each room. We have a reduced charge as less bed linen and towels need be provided. Saving you money as a smaller group.
- Other rental rate notes:
The cost of the rental includes use of managed facilities as required including - Jacuzzi, Sauna, Bar area, Sun loungers, Barbecue, patio heaters etc.
The facilities can be used for sun bathing in seclusion and sun loungers and outside shower are provided as well as tables, chairs and Sun shades.
Off road parking for up to four cars.
