A relaxing 4-Star self catering holiday apartment which is located in a purpose built block overlooking the wonderful Poole Bay. The holiday accommodation is furnished to a very high standard with a wide range of essential equipment to make the most of your break.

Double bedroom with en-suite shower-room and twin single bedroom; accommodates 4 in all adult size beds with deep firm mattresses for a good nights sleep. Plenty of wardrobe space to suit the longer stay.

The West Country region

The award winning heritage coast begins in Poole Harbour and includes the Purbeck coastline which is the site of special nature reserves and countryside/marine parks. Travelling westwards, equally spectacular is the Chesil Bank, a barren pebbled beach, stretching 25 kilometres from Weymouth to Bridport.

Dorset features some excellent museums, with world leading centres at Bovington (The Tank Museum, telling the history of military vehicles), and the Russell Cotes Museum and Art Gallery in Bournemouth. Other museums include the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, The Red House in Christchurch, the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford, and the award winning Brewers Quay in Weymouth. Many smaller towns have their own local museums.

Dorset has many country houses and other historic sites to visit. Kingston Lacy near Wimborne is run by the National Trust, as is both Hardy's Cottage (the birthplace of the author) and Max Gate (the author's later home) near Dorchester.

Bournemouth

Southbourne is a suburb of Bournemouth. It is the most easterly part of the borough, between Boscombe and Christchurch, whilst still being a distinct seaside resort suburb within Bournemouth. The resort has a newly replenished superb Blue-Flag sandy beach, a very popular children's play park on the cliff top, cafes, fabulous views sweeping from the Isle of Wight across Poole Bay to the Isle of Purbeck, a shopping centre, pubs and restaurants. Why not try the "Bistro On The Beach" (100 yards). The main area of Southbourne is Southbourne Grove, a long shopping street that has some unique and individual shops rather than high street chain shops.

Local shops within 200 metres include convience store, mini-market, cafe, restaurant and hair-dressers. The Spyglass & Kettle is the nearest pub with food (children welcome) on the Overcliffe Drive.

Bournemouth’s seven miles of award-winning blue flag beaches stretch from Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve at the mouth of Christchurch Harbour, all the way across to the world renowned & extremely exclusive Sandbanks Peninsular at the mouth of Poole Harbour - The world’s second largest Natural Harbour.

Thank you for your brilliant review of the apartment and surrounding area; it's very much appreciated.
This apartment is good for small children as the surfaces are designed for easy maintenance; the glass dining table surface can get scratched but it's nice and easy to keep clean and there's nowhere for germs to lurk.
The beach at Southbourne also has RNLI beach lifeguards just at the bottom of the nearest zig-zag path access from the apartment.

"Clean, well equipped appartement close to beaches etc.."

We found this appartement to be very clean , and very well equipped, I can't think of a thing you would need that was not there.The beds and bedding were comfortable, and there was plenty of wardrobe space and drawers for clothing. The kitchen area was equipped with good quality fixtures and fittings. Crockery, cutlery etc. were of good standard.
The appartement is very well situated for several major tourist attractions, it is a short drive to the New Forest, and lovely country towns such as Ringwood, and Wimbourne.
The nearby beaches are a great asset, and one can walk long distances along the sea front.
I had only one problem, I am large, and have a problem with my knees, and could not get into the shower, because of the step up and the door being quite narrow. But that is just me!.

"Excellent facilities in a good location with nice personal touches!"

Steve greeted us on arrival and explained all the 'need to knows'. The flat was very clean and modern. We had everything we needed and more already there waiting for us there (toilet paper, clean towels, hair dryers, even washing up liquid!). The appliances were superb (even a washer dryer). The flat was safe for our small children ( both under 2 years old). Location was excellent, walking distance from the beach and local shops. We were in easy driving distance to Christchurch, Bournemouth and Swanage. All in all a very happy holiday for us. Many thanks.
