Impressive 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom split level flat/maisonette conveniently located just minutes from Boscombe pier, beach, new artificial reef and many restaurants, bars and shops.

Bed linen and towels are included. A travel cot and highchair are also provided.

Set within the prestigious Burlington Mansions a former Victorian luxury hotel which has been affectionately restored into luxury apartments, each one being unique with many of the original features retained. The flat, suitable for 4 people was newly furnished and redecorated in 2010. It has two entrances and is located on the ground and first floors.

Both the master and twin bedrooms have en-suites and there is a further WC downstairs. The lounge/dining area is very spacious with a large window that lets in lots of natural day light. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything to make this flat perfect for a self-catering holiday.

Burlington Mansions is a 5 minute walk to the beach at Boscombe, with Europe’s 1st artificial reef and pier. A good selection of shops, restaurants and bars can be found in several directions within close proximity. The centre of Boscombe is 5 minutes walking and Bournemouth centre can be reached by car in 10 minutes. Bournemouth beach is a pleasant stroll along from Boscombe beach or a short ride on the Land Train.

Central Southern England is a very popular tourist destination and benefits from not only a spectacular coastline but beautiful countryside and the New Forest. The area has so much to offer, from the country’s finest seafood restaurants, to country pubs; from castles and museums to adventure parks.

The New Forest is a national park which combines ancient woodlands, forest glades and wonderful open spaces, great for peaceful walks. Ponies, cattle and deer still graze freely as they have done for centuries.

There are 140 picturesque villages in the region, featuring quaint names like Toller Porcorum, Nettlescombe and Cerne Abbas.

Adventure Wonderland is a family fun park with themed rides and entertainment, including shows featuring characters from Alice in Wonderland and boasts one of the largest mazes in the UK.

The Bournemouth / Boscombe area

Boscombe is a suburb of Bournemouth which is on the map in its own right thanks to a beautiful sandy beach and Europe’s first artificial surf reef. The reef is the size of a football pitch and since its opening in 2009 has fast become a popular destinations for both beginner and experienced surfers.

Built in 1888 and fully restored in 2007, Boscombe pier is an impressive sight with its unique aircraft wing design entrance, new decking, lighting and viewing section at the end. Boscombe Cliff Gardens offers an impressive view that stretches from Hengistbury Head, through Bournemouth all the way to Poole Harbour.

There is an impressive variety of quality restaurants, pubs and cocktail bars just minutes from the maisonette, several of which offer regular live music.

The centre of Boscombe has a good range of high street name and independent stores and on Thursdays and Saturdays a bustling market where you will find fresh fruit and vegetable, meat and fresh seafood stalls as well as many clothing stalls.

Once described by Thomas Hardy as the ‘Mediterranean lounging place on the English Channel,’ Bournemouth is an ever popular tourist destination with its 7 miles of award winning blue flag golden beaches. Beach huts were invented here in 1908, and those original huts (the oldest in the world) can still be rented today.

The award winning Central Gardens stretch from the sea at Bournemouth pier for several miles down the Valley of the river Bourne and includes the Pleasure Gardens, the Bournemouth Eye Balloon and the Pavillion.

The free Air Festival from 18th – 21st August features incredible air displays, attractions and fantastic evening entertainment, and has been selected as a finalist in the 2010/11 South West England Tourism Awards.

The Christmas Market from 18th November to Christmas Eve features German inspired chalets, an Alpine chalet style bar, carol singers and a brass band as well as the usual food, drink and present stalls and visits from Santa himself.

There is a thriving youth culture here due to the high university population and many language school students. The seeds of new business culture are revolving around surfing and a Californian lifestyle is emerging.

“Don't hesitate to book!” We agree with all the other positive reviews for this flat. The owner is an absolute delight to deal with and the property is without doubt the nicest, most well-equipped self catering flat in which we have stayed. It was spacious and warm and very easy to keep clean and tidy. It really is well equipped and workbooks for all appliances were in a file in the kitchen - even for the kettle and toaster! We are an older couple but had we been younger with small children there would have been no problems, the flat is very child-friendly and there are many DVDs, games and books to keep the little 'uns occupied on rainy days. The neighbours were very quiet in the time we were there and the lady superintendent was very helpful and friendly We found it was very easy to get to town by bus or walking and the few times we had to get a taxi part way (husband's dodgy hip!) the cost was around £6.00. The only negative we would mention would be the table top ironing board. We would have preferred a full sized one, but even so, we've never stayed in a holiday flat where the only negative is not really worth mentioning. If we win the lottery - we're putting in an offer!!! Thank you SO much. Please note, the review was written before return of breakages deposit which is why N/A is showing on the questionnaire. We wanted to put our positive thoughts on paper asap. Response: Thank you so much for your kind review. We realise this was a very special time for you and your husband so we are very pleased that we lived up to your expectations. I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you both back again and will make sure we have a full size ironing board available next time! “Excellent well equipped apartment” We stayed in this fantastic apartment with our two young children (Age 4 and 18 months) and it could not have been better. The location is great, 5 mins walk to the beach and shops. It provided a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. The apartment is modern and very clean. A lot of effort has gone into providing guests with everything they could possibly need for a very comfortable and happy holiday here. The kitchen was very well equipped and the washing machine and tumble dryer definitely came in handy! The provision of a high chair, splash mats, stair gate, travel cot and waterproof sheets made it very easy to stay here with young children. We would definitely stay here again.

“Home away from Home for Christmas” Having rented a fair few self catering properties in the past I have to say this is definitely one of the best. The apartment is in a great location less than 5 mins walk from the beach in one direction and less than 5 mins walk to the shops in Boscombe in the other direction. You could easily stay here without a car but it was great having an allocated space. Inside the apartment was everything you could want from a holiday let. Very clean, well looked after, warm & spacious. Being set up with Tivo & Wifi, it was fantastic having all the home comforts for our christmas stay. We loved all the little extras that you wouldn't necessarily expect, like lots of DVDs & books, little soaps in the bathrooms, hairdryer, lovely reclining sofas etc. The only downside ? We only booked 4 nights & wished we'd booked for longer. We'll definitely be back in the future. Response: We are so pleased you all enjoyed your Christmas visit to Boscombe Reef Retreat. “Fantastic apartment - probably better equipped than home!” We had a fantastic week staying in the apartment, our first holiday as a family with out six-month old twins. Brilliantly located within easy walking distance (if a bit of a hill with a double buggy!) of all shops and the lovely pier and sea-front at Boscombe - you can easily walk on the flat as far as your legs will take you. Apartment immaculate and with every piece of equipment/untensil/gadget you could need, you really will feel right at home here!

“Brilliant Apartment - especially with young children” We have had a super holiday in Boscombe staying at the Boscome Reef Retreat! The photos do not do justice to this spacious, luxury apartment. Travelling with two very young children, we were just delighted with the attention to detail the owner has made to make this a true home from home. The kitchen was particularly well equipped - it really does have everything! I would highly recommend this apartment to a couple or a family who want value for money in a fabulous place in fabulous accomodation! Five stars!

“If you're planning a holiday in Boscombe then look no further!” Boscombe Reef Retreat was the perfect holiday let for our visit to Boscombe.The accommodation itself was very clean, stylish, comfortable and very well equipped, especially the kitchen, a proper home from home and very spacious. And being on the ground floor with two separate entrances was a bonus. The location was close enough to the beach and 'dining outs' of all types which made life easy. The free use of wi-fi was an added bonus as we had our teenage son with us. And to top it off the king size bed was one of the comfyist we have slept in. If i was to be really picky the en-suite in the master bedroom (although gorgeous) had a bath with shower attachment but it wasn't attached to the wall so we had to shower in the twin room en-suite instead. And a tv in the master bedroom would have been brill. The booking proceedure was very easy . Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend it to anyone. Mr and Mrs Rodgers

“Clean, tidy, well furnished, nothing more you could want for” It was lovely to have one en suite to each bedroom and a loo downstairs. The facilities were brilliant and maisonette was very well placed. The fact that you are so near shops and the sea is a very big plus.

“The perfect spot” Due to family health we found ourselves (me, my wife and 3 month old son) needing to stay in the Bournemouth area for a couple of month in Jan/Feb 2012. We found the flat Burlington Mansions on line and after a quick chat with Teresa decide to stay. We were a little anxious as we had been unable to see the flat prior to staying but Teresa had told us that the photos said it all. Well I disagree, the pictures are good but the flat itself is even better. Minutes walk from Boscombe Pier you can walk for miles in either direction stopping on the way to enjoy a coffee or something stronger at the many lovely restaurants and bars that populate the Bournemouth/Boscombe coast. In addition we found ourselves within easy driving distance of some beautiful scenery and wonderful attractions not least were The New Forest and Monkey World. The apartment itself is decorated to a very high standard with all mod-cons and we couldn't have asked for more accommodating and friendly hosts. It was the perfect place for our little family to enjoy a beautiful part of the England to the fullest.

“Superb apartment in character building in a great location” Boscombe Reef Retreat is one of the best holiday flats we've ever stayed in - modern, clean, comfortable, spacious, well equiped and in a great location. It is located in an ex Victorian hotel that's been converted into luxury apartments. The interior of the building is very grand - chandeliers in the lobby and grand staircases - and the building is immaculately maintained. The apartment is located on the ground and first floors and is very spacious and decorated / furnished to a very high standard. The decor is modern and bright and the furnishings extremely comfortable. The newly fitted kitchen is very well eqiped with washing machine, dishwasher and tumble drier. It is in a convenient location - 5 minutes walk from both the seafront and Boscombe High Street.

“First class apartment” This apartment looked great on-line and we were not disappointed with the reality. It was really spacious and well equipped; the decor was stylish and would appeal to all; the rooms were well furnished and everything was spotless. We have a four year old and a six month old baby and made good use of the kitchen appliances, high chair, travel cot, etc (nb bedrooms are upstairs, so that might put off families with toddlers). We could have lived there quite comfortably. The allocated car space was handy for the side entrance to the building.The apartment was well situated for the Promenade and Boscombe Pier. The road was fairly busy during the day, but quietened down in the evening.

“Ideally situated, spacious, clean with everything you could want” We stayed for a week, whilst I was recovering from surgery, before returning to work. The apartment is lovely with a touch of luxury. The kitchen is very well equipped, it even has a cocktail shaker!! The lounge/ living room is spacious with nice finishing touches. The bed was very comfortable, and bathrooms very modern & clean. The walk-in-wardrobe is a great feature, as was the window in the bedroom. The only thing wrong is that we had to come home!

“Boscombe Reef Retreat” I saw this property on the internet and not having booked one before was very apprehensive, but I shouldn't have worried, the property was excellent could not have asked for anything better. So close to the beach and the town centre. I didnt go far as the weather also turned out to be excellent.too. The Land Train to Bournemouth is a must, the car stayed in the car park most of the week. If I have the chance I will rebook this apartment without hesitation.
