The West Country / Dorset region
Dorset is a very popular holiday destination all year round. It offers beautiful rolling countryside and the Purbecks. Bournemouth with its award winning beaches and The New Forest nearby. Southampton, Salisbury and Stonehenge are all within reasonable travelling distance. Bournemouth has excellent facilities for the tourists and the town and has a lovely calm multi-racial community.
Dorset features some excellent museums, with world leading centres at Bovington (The Tank Museum, telling the history of military vehicles), and the Russell Cotes Museum and Art Gallery in Bournemouth. Other museums include the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, The Red House in Christchurch, the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford, and the award winning Brewers Quay in Weymouth. Many smaller towns have their own local museums.
The Bournemouth area
This is the place to stay if you want to be in the hustle and bustle and be walking distance to all the main attractions. The town centre offers beautiful sandy beaches which have facilities to provide safe holidays for children, wonderful parkland and world famous gardens, big name shops and stores, theatres, cinemas, clubs and nightlife, cafes, restaurants, pubs and amusements - fish and chips too! The Pavilion and Bournemouth Pier Theatre throw some of the most popular shows, and of course there is the exciting Christmas Pantomime and New Year festivities, highlighting that Bournemouth is an all year round centre of excitement.
Horseshoe Common became a public park in the 1870s and derives its name from the shape of Dean Park Road which encircles it. Being centrally located this position offers easy access by car to many of the nearby districts and towns which are popular to visit such as Southbourne, Boscombe, Christchurch, Poole and the well known prestigious area of Sandbanks. This flat is of superior standard and is in a very popular holiday location.
