Boscombe lies east of East Cliff in Bournemouth and is currently shaking off its tired Victorian facade for modern sea view apartments, rejuvenated gardens and a wholly refurbished seafront and pier. Boscombe is a great shopping centre with indoor shopping at its Victorian arcade, regular street markets and "antique alley".

Boscombe is set to become Bournemouth's surfing capital. The new artificial surf reef is set to make surfing even more enjoyable on the Dorset coast and the associated development of surf outlets, cafes and facilities will make it one of the best in the country.

The Neptune is a family friendly 'Gastro Pub' situated just yards from Boscombe Pier having undergone a complete refurbishment in time for the Summer. However - You'll be spoilt for choice in terms of where to eat and drink - the 'Urban Reef' Cafe/Restaurant sits in the overstrand building on the sea front, whilst its sister restaurant, the award winning 'Urban Beach' is located within one minutes walking distance of the pier and is renowned for it's suave cocktail waiters, superb food and excellent service.

A further short walk along the promenade leads to Bournemouth Pier and the foot of the beautiful Lower Gardens leading up into Bournemouth Town Centre with all of its fantastic shopping and tourist attractions ranging from Rock & Pop Concerts at the Bournemouth International Centre to Art Exhibitions, Ice Skating and the numerous restaurants, bars, nightclubs, theatres, shops & comedy clubs, forming Bournemouth’s centre for Leisure & Tourism and drawing in tourists from across the country. The glorious Lower Gardens can be pinpointed from anywhere in the Town Centre & it’s surround due to the Bournemouth Eye; a people carrying tethered Balloon that rises 500 feet above the local area.

"Best location near the sea and shops, beautiful view over the park - we got what we wanted!"

We stayed in this apartment for long-term work period in Bournemouth with my family with one small child. It was almost the cheapest holiday apartment we could found and near the sea was a great bonus. Apartment itself was quite small, but good for us three. It is perfect for people who love outdoor activities and for a holiday purpose of course, there is not so much room to play and be inside.

We had such bad luck during our stay, because almost everything went broke (bed, boiler, washing machine) - we were a little bit ashamed of that but luckily the happy and friendly staff of Holiday Lettings/Dimensions solved our problems with high professional and happy to help us.

This is good apartment for a week/two weeks stay (or less), if you wish to stay longer, I would recommend either bigger apartment or you have to be used to live without frills. We did not find it any uncomfortable for our family because we were out and about most of our free time.And been abroad quite much with a child.

So, good location, friendly staff, great view to the beautiful park, shops (Boscombe district) nearby, sea 5 mins walk, basic amenities, near public transportation.

If there is something to develop, I would recommend better cleaning sets (brushes were broken) or hoover. We bought damp set and cleaning things, for our convenience, of course. Maybe hangar and clothes line would be also good.

We were satisfied in this property, mostly because of friendly staff and eager to help us, good location and affordable expense. we did not expect/want any luxury, so we got what we wanted!
