Acommodating up to 11 guests . Houghton Lodge is perfect for family gatherings,and group holidays. Swim in the stunning heated indoor pool complex (mornings) then relax and indulge in the Hydrotheraphy Hot-Tub and Infa Red Sauna . Private Garden, Patio and decking areas,plus large 1/2 acre field for ball games,picknics and barbecues. Vast network of footpaths direct from property , plus great mountainbiking tracks . Local Pub and Post office approx 1 Mile walk . There is an abundance of Good Pubs and fabulous restaurants in the area. Places to Visit for all the family . Monkey World , Swanage Railway,Corfe Castle,Brownsea island,Bovington Tank Museum To name but a few . You,ll Never Want To Leave !!!!

Open plan ground floor KITCHEN & DINING . Fully fitted kitchen, all at accessible levels, with electric oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave. Seating for 11. Patio doors leading out to decking-patio area sauna and hot-tub. Separate utility room with washing machine ,tumble drier and ironing facilities. Lounge , Large woodburning stove, snuggly comfortable sofas, Large plasma screen T.V with Sky, sound surround and DVD player. 4 Groundfloor bedrooms 2 twin ,3 double .4 bathrooms, 2 en-suite.

First floor bedroom. views of the Dorset countryside, Double bed, plus double sofa bed. en-suite with bath, wc and wash basin, TV and tea & coffee making facilities.

Every comfort has been carefully researched, and provided for. The Kitchen and dining areas are all at accessible levels, and are equipped with every modern appliance you would expect to find at home. The Heated Indoor Pool is at a constant warm temperature all year round, the air temperature is also very warm, making bathing a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. The Pool has been fitted with a wispa hoist, Guests are requested to supply their own personal sling. (see pic) There is a specially created pathway suitable for wheelchair users, leading from Valley Lodge to the Pool at Downview Farm.

All outside areas have gentle slopes to and from Houghton Lodge. There is a special path for the wheelchair users from Houghton Lodge to the little village road, which is a nice flat run, into the next village Winterbourne Stickland (approx 1 mile) where you will find our local pub,and post office . The property is open plan and fitted with Nursecall throughout the property. There is a ceramic flooring throughout the ground floor to provide easy access. All kitchen facilities are specially adapted and to the required levels for wheelchair users. The ground floor wet room and W/C have turning space and left hand transfer. The wet room is also fitted with handrails, shower seat and full length mirror. The Ground floor bedroom has turning space and is a twin or double room with TV, Tea & coffee making facilities, full length mirror and accessible storage space. There is plenty of room in the lounge and dining areas for wheeelchairs and turning.

Outside decking patio area to front with parking. decking area and contemporary garden to rear, plus 1/2 acre field for recreation and barbeques. Private outdoor HOT-TUB and Infa Red Sauna .All outside areas have accessible slopes and lighting for
disabled guests.

Houghton Lodge Has 5 Bedrooms 4 being on the ground floor .2 of which are suitable for guests with dissabilities , with space for hoist and turning . All areas inside and out are easily accessible .

Conditions

On arrival a returnable deposit is required , in case of accidental damage . £200 . For weekend stays or midweek the deposit is required in cash . For stays of a week or more a cheque is sufficient . This deposit will be returned to you within 10 days . By bacs transfer.

Snuggled in it’s own little valley, deep in the Dorset Downs, yet only 30 minutes from the stunning Dorset coastline and beaches of Poole, Bournemouth and Weymouth, with fantastic shopping, entertainment, theatre, casinos, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Situated in the tiny village of Winterbourne Houghton, one of Dorset’s best kept secrets. Surrounded by the most beautiful country scenery. The beautiful Georgian market town of Blandford Forum is only 7 minutes away by car. Blandford offers local weekly markets, a wide selection of independent shops, supermarkets, restaurants, good pubs and take-aways. The local area boasts an abundance of great pubs with good food, award winning restaurants, horse-riding, tennis, golf, fishing, cycling, walking, summer activities for children, theme parks fishing in the local stream and great picnicking to name but a few.

Follow the signs into Blandford Forum Town centre.
When you reach the Crown Hotel follow the road to the left, over the bridge and straight accross small roundabout. Untill you see the sign on right.
Follow the sign to Winterborne stickland approx 5 miles.
Turn left into the village, at the crown pub on left. Opposite is the sign to Winterborne Houghton.
Follow the road for 1 mile untill you come to a fish farm on your left, carry on untill you see a little church also on the left.
On the right hand side after a row of terraced cottages , is a Pink thatched cottage stuck out into the road, turn directly right after this and go straight to the top of the drive . At the very top is Downview Farm turn right at the double gates into Houghton Lodge. Enjoy your holiday.................
