The Dorset region

Bournemouth lies in the heart of Dorset on the south coast.

The breathtaking Dorset coastline offers everything from picturesque harbours, long sandy beaches, dramatic cliff top formations, hidden coves and rock pools.

The Jurassic Coast is England's only natural World Heritage Site, and is a walker’s paradise. Of equal appeal to the walker is the New Forest, England's newest National Park, but steeped in history.

Poole Harbour is a stunning location for all types of watersport. The harbour and it's islands offer a haven for wildlife including the bird sanctuary on the world renowned Brownsea Island.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth itself is a mecca for shopping and a centre of entertainment with theatres, cinemas, a casino and clubs, bars and restaurants. Bournemouth and Boscombe both have charming traditional piers and award winning gardens. One of the newest attractions in the area is the new artificial surf reef at Boscombe.

For families there is plenty on offer for kids of all ages, a couple of highlights being ‘Serendipity Sams’ playpark at Christchurch and Bournemouth Oceanarium.

Southbourne is on the eastern fringe of Bournemouth, away from the hustle and bustle of the city but with easy access to the centre by car or public transport. There are several cafes and restaurants very close to the property including the well known ‘Bistro on the Beach’, a short stroll away, located right down on the beach. Even closer - a level 3 mins walk away is the new 'L'Assiette' restaurant already gaining a great reputation for fine dining since opening this year, 2010. Just a mile to the east Christchurch has a great choice of restaurants, centred around it's historic Priory church.

There are miles of sandy beaches from Hengistbury Head just to the east, all the way past Bournemouth to Sandbanks in the west, with a path / cycleway running all the way along the shorefront.

"High quality accomodation"

First time travelling and staying in this part of the UK. The apartment was first class. Attention to detail very much appreciated. The apartment is very spacious. The extra personal touches were a great bonus. Pete advised us on our journey that apartment was ready early which we appreciated as we were arriving earlier than expected.
We visited the Bealieu Motor museum during our stay. I would highly recommend this museum. I am not a car enthusiast but this was truly well worth a visit. If we travel to this area again I will definitely be contacting Pete for availability.

"Excellent Comfortable Accomodation"

We have stayed at a few places in Southbourne as we love the area but this apartment was far and away the best one we have stayed in. From the inital enquiry to leaving the property we were well looked after. The apartment itself was very clean, everything provided for, even free WIFI for the kids. the rooms are spaceous, well furnished with plenty space for clothes etc. I would recommend this apartment for anyone with children, its location is close to the sea front with fantastic beaches, and ideal for exploring the New Forest or Bournemouth and beyond the other way. Overall a great apartment in a great location.

"The South Coast's Best Kept Secret!"

The South Coast's best kept secret.

Outstanding value for money. Please note, this apartment is actually larger than it looks in the photographs - a pleasant surprise. We spent many an evening relaxing on the terrace and we felt at home from the moment we walked in the door.

The kids loved it as there was lots to do in the apartment itself (including Freeview on the TV!) and the lovely, sandy beach was just a short walk away. The owner was friendly, helpful and easy to deal with.

Although Southbourne itself was fairly quiet, Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and the New Forest are all within easy reach.

Returned home extremely relaxed.

Thoroughly recommended A+++++++
