About the home

The gîte is in a tranquil rural location, about 2 kilometres from the local town of Boulogne sur Gesse where all amenities are to be found. It is ideal for families or couples wishing to spend a quiet relaxed holiday or to use the gite as a base for touring the area. It has its own private garden and terrace with tables and chairs for sitting outside. Around the pool area, the grounds are mainly laid to lawn. Garden furniture including sun loungers and parasols are provided.

The GÎte sleeps four, and is accessed by its own private staircase leading up to the first floor balcony with table and chairs. There is a living area with a corner kitchen The kitchen area has fitted cupboards worktops and is fully equipped for 4 persons. Two bedrooms (1 double bed and 2 single beds )- a set of drawers, bedside tables and lamps and wardrobe. A cot is available.

Shared laundry room on the ground floor with washing machine,separate spin dryer sink, additional shower and toilet

The gÎtes are in a tranquil countryside setting

Bed linen and towels are provided in the price. If you book for two weeks a mid term towel and linen change is included.
Pool towels are not provided. Please bring your own

The Midi-Pyrenees / Haute-Garonne region

The landscape of snowcapped peaks, deep mountain valleys, steep gorges, plateaux, and rivers, is seldom spoiled by development and lends itself to outdoor pursuits, particularly skiing, hiking, and walking. The cultural centre of the region is Toulouse, called “the pink city” after the colour of its brick. It is a lively university town, rich in art and architecture, but also industrial. Other focal points of interest for visitors are the medieval hilltop village of Cordes, the cathedral and museum at Albi, and the pilgrimage town of Lourdes, which draws 4 million visitors annually in search of a cure.

The Spa town of Luchon is just 1 hour away
Montmaurin is just 10 mins dirve away

The Boulogne sur Gesse area

The immediate surrounding area offers rivers (for fishing) licence can be obtained at the local Marie. Lakes for swimming and water sports, horse riding tennis and golf all within a few minutes drive. The area is especially ideal for cycling and two bicycles are available if required. The spa town of Luchon and ski resort of Super Bagneres is 1 hour s drive. Visit the Foie Gras market at Samatan where restauranteurs from some of the top hotels come to buy their Foie Gras

The Pyrenees are approximately 1 hour's drive away and offer opportunities for walking, white water rafting, climbing or hang gliding. The Marciac Jazz Festival takes place in July and of course the Tour de France generally passes quite close and sometimes through the town, on the Pyrenees Stage

In South West France about 1 hour's drive from Pyrenees and Spanish Border and half way between Toulouse (1hr) and Lourdes. Easyjet fly to Toulouse from Bristol and Gatwick. Ryanair from London Stansted to Carcassonne (2 hrs) and Pau (1 hour) Or take a ferry from one of the southern ports to Roscoff Le havre cherbourg or St Malo and take a leisurely drive down through France
