The town hosts a number of activities for residents and tourists alike; tennis courts, outdoor swimming park and a football playing field. Every Wednesday welcomes the weekly market when the town comes to life with stalls set up all around the town with fresh produce; meats, cheeses, dried sausages, locally grown fruit and vegetables... together with an abundance of fashion stalls, leather bags, hats, shoes, handmade jewellery and more.
With the Pyrenees only an hours drive away, and Spain just beyond, the location offers a variety of road trips to the active holiday maker. Skiing day trips are possible in the Pyrenean Mountains where you can choose French or Spanish resorts.
Toulouse is the closest major city an hour away by car and go on day trips to explore winery's in the Madiran region. A hire car is a must.
Boulogne sur Gesse
The Gites have access to the luxury 14m swimming pool that is attached to the main house, and is shared with the owners when in residence.
Hikers will love the area for the ample choice of walks to choose from and a visit to Lake Boulogne set in the backdrop of the 1901 Viaduct is the perfect setting for picnics and paddleboat rides. The local reservoir, Gimone, has a beach and is open throughout the summer to the public.
Tour de France aficionados can follow stages not far from the town - refer to the official website for stage locations.
