Ridge View Villa has been designed so as to take advantage of the breath taking views and boasts a large pool. Take an early morning dip then have your morning coffee relaxing by the pool whilst reading a good book. This retreat will ease all tensions of a busy life. With lights in and around the pool a midnight swim under the stars is a must.


For the daytime take yourself down to nearby Bottom Bay or Crane beach. Relax at Bottom Bay, the closer of the two, Bottom Bay has a beautiful coral sandy beach, while away your days listening to the sea and soaking up the sun in this stunning tropical paradise. For the more adventurous discover the deserted nearby bays/beaches of Foul Bay, Harry Smith beach and Sam Lords Castle. The villa is therefore perfect for both couples and families who want to relax by the pool or the more adventurous who wish to explore beaches and bays of unparallel beauty.


This spacious Villa has been furnished in a style that denotes both quality and comfort. Leading from the living room is a balcony with sensational views furnished with table and chairs perfect for al fresco dining. With one double bedroom with an en suite bathroom, and two twin bedrooms (can be made into doubles), and another bathroom, the villa is an ideal base from which couples and families can explore one of the most beautiful of Caribbean Islands.

Ridge View Villa is a large spacious open plan villa boasting high wooden ceilings in the living area which should keep you naturally cool. The villa is furnised to a high standard which denotes both comfort and quality in all areas. All bedrooms have large built-in wardrobes with ample space and ceiling fans for added comfort. The master bedroom has a large en suite bathroom with a walk in shower. The other two bedrooms share a large shower room and have two single beds that can be converted to double size beds.


The kitchen is particularly well equipped to meet all culinary needs. The dining and living area is extremely comfortable and has been designed to take advantage of the spectacular views through the large french doors leading to the upper terrace and the picture window.

Further details outdoors:
The pool in the villa is particularly large. It boasts lights both inside and outside the pool which makes it beautiful for a midnight swims. Once you have finished swimming you can relax on the terrace surrounding the pool. There is ample outside furniture; sun loungers, tables and chairs. From the pool terrace you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views. At poolside there is an outside shower and poolside WC for your convenience.


There is ample parking for 3 cars should you wish. The villa is bordered at the front by native plants and to the back the garden is large and simply landscaped to take advantage of the views

Further details

Our manager will meet and greet you at the villa when you arrive. She will help you to settle in and give you general advice and support as required in relation to your visit. A maid service can be arranged for a small extra cost and this can be discussed during your initial meeting should you be interested.


Water in Barbados is perfectly safe to drink. Additionally, we have fitted mosquito mesh at all the windows and mosquito nets are available for all beds on request. Air conditionining in bedrooms and standing fans plus the internet are available for a small extra charge.

Conditions

Breakages deposit of £300 (Can be given as a cheque) is required on arrival, refundable on day of departure once the villa is returned without breakages and in good order.

Strictly no smoking in the villa.

Please ensure you have adequate and appropriate holiday/personal insurance. All individuals and children using the villa, studio or pool do so at their own personal risk and liability. No children under the age of 16 should use the pool unsupervised.

The St Philip Parish region

The villa is situated on a ridge in St Phillip and as such benefits from the warm Caribbean breeze all year round and boasts spectacular panoramic views. The local people as with all Barbadians are known for their hospitality and helpfulness which contributes to guests at the villa returning each year.

The villa is ideally placed to give peace and relaxation on the one hand but yet close enough to amenities and activities to add interest to a holiday. There is much to occupy the active and the curious. Places of interest include preserved plantations, the Botanical Gardens, Harrison Cave and Concorde, to name but a few. For the more actve there is snorkelling, swimming with the giant sea turtles, horse riding, golf. All these and more can be accessed relatively easily from the villa. The Bottom Bay / Casuarina Estate area

St Philip is on the East Coast of the island and boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados. The sea on this side of the Island is particularly good for surfing with spectacular beaches and scenery ideal for sun bathing. The villa itself has splendid unrestricted views.

Close by is Emerald City Shopping Centre with a large supermarket which sells all you need for a self catering holiday. There is also a bank, pharmacy, medical centre and a video rental store which rents videos for a small fee which may be of interest for a quiet evening in..

The Crane Hotel close by has two of the finest restaurants on the island, and a wonderful bar playing live music into the evening. St Lawrence Gap a short drive away has countless restaurants, evening entertainment and clubs to suit all tastes.

"We had a great time at the Villa which is very spacious and clean with three large bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a large lounge and kitchen. We would have breakfast and relax in the evening on the lovely big balcony but the star of the house has to be the pool which was so refreshing after the heat of the sunl. Our teenage son would spend about two hours a day in it! The house is very peaceful with large fields behind where you can enjoy watching the antics of the cows and free ranging sheep and goats plus the occasional monkey troop. There is a large supermarket five miles away and local shops very close. We were looked after very well by Mauva and Phillip who are genuinely lovely people and were so welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and they had lots of good advice re beaches etc. We hope they continue to enjoy their life in Barbados. The villa is on the south coast so is about 45 minute drive to the west coast but it is opposite Bottom Beach and the location means you can also explore the beautiful East coast as well. It is very close to Crane Beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world - go the the Crane Hotel for the Gospel Brunch (need to book ahead) and then take the elevator down to the beach and rent sun loungers for the rest of the day, finish off with dinner at Cutters (in the village) watching the sun go down over a rum punch - bliss! Make sure you are at the wildlife sanctuary at 2pm when the feed the monkeys - really interesting and fun. We had a great holiday in a great villa and would highly recommend this villa."

Well we are back from Barbados after a marvellous holiday.

We would like to thank you for sharing your beautiful villa with us. It really is very relaxing and situated close to everything but far enough away to be peaceful.
We enjoyed watching and listening to the world as the sun rose, the birds, possums, goats, sheep, rabbits and my favourite the hummingbirds and in the evenings the bats would perform an aerial display by the balcony.
On the Sunday we were treated to another aerial display in the back field by the local model aeroplane club.

We loved Barbados and found everyone to be friendly and helpful and would definitely come again. Mauva and Philip were also fantastic, they really did make us feel welcome and we would recommend your villa to all our friends and in fact anyone who would visit the island.

Once again thank you and hopefully we can book again sometime soon.

A delightful place to stay. The villa is fantastic and the pool is great. Well equipped, plenty of space. View across valley exceptional with many things going on. Plenty of wild life to see. Hares mongoose, monkeys, .... humming birds, sheeps, goats.
