Whistling Frog - Absolutely Stunning describes this newly constructed house with its ocean views, swimming pool and landscaped garden. It’s just 200 yards from Bottom Bay Beach – and a short walk to numerous deserted bays/beaches in close proximity including, Foul Bay, The Crane , Harry Smith beach and Sam Lords. It’s an Ideal retreat for nature lovers and walkers, whilst the lively south coast is easily accessible.

The house features two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, a modern equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a large living and dining area, and a spacious covered rear patio, which overlooks a 20 ft private pool boasting idyllic ocean views. The pool is surrounded by a large decked area and set amongst many caribbean flowers and shrubs in a landscaped garden.

It can accommodate both couples or families, with a maximum occupancy of four, making it an excellent choice of stay for romantic couples or families with children. There are reduced rates for single room occupancy.

The living area consists of a large comfortable seating area and a dining area which could accommodate seating for six. It is furnished to a high standard with furniture supplied by Designer Décor.

The property is cooled by numerous low hanging ceiling fans in all rooms accompanied by the constant refreshing sea breeze.

The St. Philip region

Whistling Frog House is located on the beautiful south-east coast of Barbados in the parish of St. Philip, just a short walk from the lovely secluded Bottom Bay beach.
Emerald City shopping village at Six Roads is less than 10 minutes drive away with supermarkets, Banks, gas station, post office and restaurant with children's play area.
Its also 5 minutes drive from the Crane resort which has 2 restaurants (Zen: Thai & Japanese and L'Azure: modern cuisine) with beautiful views over the most amazing beach.

Barbados is a coral stone island about 26 miles long by 14 miles wide with a population of about 250,000.
Barbados has warm weather year round with temperatures not usually ever dropping below the mid-70's (27-30 degrees centigrade). Anytime of year is a good time to visit.
With endless miles of white, powdery sand, exotic lush green botanical gardens, a rich colonial history, acres of sugar plantations and the gentle lapping of the Caribbean Sea, Barbados is truly an amazing place for a holiday.
The island is easily accessible by car, but for those who do not wish to drive there are plenty of frequently running buses.

Places of interest include the capital Bridgetown for its duty free shopping, Harrisons Caves, The wild life park, the flower caves in the north of the island to name but a few. Barbados also boasts many old plantation houses which are now "national trust " and can be toured for a small fee.

For those in search of adventure there are both walking tours and bus tours, and catamaran cruises. The beer factory (Banks) and the rum factory (Mount Gay) can also be toured and the alcohol duly sampled!


Bottom Bay / Apple Hall area

Bottom Bay Beach is simply breathtaking. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
The house is
- 10 minutes to Kendal Country Club with a lovely colonial bar, the Flying Rabbit restaurant
- 20 minutes to the South Coast (St Lawrence Gap, Oistins Fish Market, Dover Beach)
- 30 minutes to the West Coast (St James, Holetown, Mullins Beach)
A regular local bus service runs from Bottom Bay to all area's of the island, although we would recommend hiring a car to see as much of the beautiful island as possible. Car collection can be arranged either at the airport or the Villa

Whistling Frog is furnished to a high standard throughout, with ceiling fans in all rooms. The master bedroom affords a Queen-size bed, and offers a built in wardrobe with en-suite bathroom, and views of the ocean from the window. The second bedroom has a built–in wardrobe with plenty of storage space and two single beds which can easily be placed together and made up to provide a large double bed.
The well equipped kitchen has ample work space, and all the appliances that a kitchen could possibly need, including dishwasher, cooker/hob, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle etc. The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, pots, pans and cutlery.

The bright and spacious lounge with comfortable seating for 6 people is decorated in neutral tones and has a small TV/ DVD, and Hi/Fi player. There are books, magazines, local tourist information and maps in the house for your perusal, as well as complimentary use of a local mobile phone for your convenience. (The phone is a DIGICEL pay-as-you-go which can be topped up at many places, including the local supermarket at Emerald City.) DVD's can be rented from the rental shop at Emerald City, a short 5 minute drive away.

The French doors open from the sitting area onto the spacious covered terrace with stunning sea views. The terrace is furnished with table & chairs - ideal for outdoor eating anytime of the day, and there is outdoor lighting for evening entertaining. Sun loungers are placed around the private pool for you to fully relax and enjoy the sunshine. We also have beach/pool toys available for you to use during your stay at Whistling Frog.
