The St Philip Parish region
CouCou is located on the beautiful south-east coast of Barbados in the parish of st. philip, just a short walk from the majestic Bottom Bay beach. There are a number of stunning bays/beaches in close proximity including, Foul Bay, The Crane , Harry Smith beach and Sam Lords. Emerald City shopping village at Six Roads is less than 10 minutes away with supermarkets, Banks, gas station, post office and restaurant with children's play area. -5 minutes from the Crane resort which has 2 restaurants (Zen: Thai & Japanese and L'Azure: modern cuisine) with beautiful views over the most amazing beach - 10 minutes to Kendal Country Club with a lovely colonial bar, the Flying Rabbit restaurant and a lovely pool that can be used during your visit - 20 minutes to the South Coast (Gap, Oistins, Dover) - 30 minutes to the West Coast (St James, Holetown, Mullins)
Barbados has warm weather year round with temperatures not usually ever dropping below the mid-70's. The island is easily accessible by car, but for those who do not wish to drive there are plenty of frequently running buses.
Places of interest include the capital Bridgetown, Earthworks where the local pottery is made, and various museums and churches. Barbados also boasts many old plantation houses which are now "national trust " and can be toured for a small fee.
For those in search of adventure there are both walking tours and bus tours. The beer factory (Banks) and the rum factory (Mount Gay) can also be toured and the alcohol duly sampled!
Bottom Bay / Apple Hall area
Bottom Bay beach has been named one of the best in Barbados - if not the Caribbean! Steps carved between the cliffs take you on to this pristine expanse of coral pink sand, where palm trees sway in the gentle tradewinds and you are presented with the most stunning bit of Paradise.
In addition to this Bottom Bay beach only a short drive away , you will find the world famous Crane Beach.
