Home description
The centre villa sleeps 8 with 2 double en suite rooms and 2 twin bedrooms, plus a separate large shower room with basin and wc. Kitchen with full size cooker and hob, washing machine, microwave, dining area with table and seating for 8 persons, lounge area with flat screen TV / DVD which CDs can be played and satellite TV.
We now have onsite caretakers who are able to offer a range of services, including welcome food packs, BBQ nights, babysitting service, and also alternative well being treatments, (massage etc)
This lovely villa is very well designed and to high standards.

The Northern Mountains region
It is as though "time has stood still" in parts of the North. Mountains views to take your breath away. Many places of interest like Chaves with the old Roman Bridge and Spa Waters, Douro Valley to visit the many vineyards or a cruise on the douro to port houses. Barcelos with it's weekly market said to be the largest in Northern Portugal, Braga which is the religious capital of the north with the sanctuary of Bom Jesus, Amarante a lovely town and Guimaráes (Unesco World Heritage) and of course Porto city with it's Port Cellars.
The adventure park Diver Lanhoso for those who love the outdoor pursuits - paintball, rafting, and sky rope. Their are many other places of interest in the north of Portugal and then of course there is the new Casino which hosts a show with dinner every evening costing in the region of €25 per head. Nearest Golf is at Vidago based at the Palace Hotel which is due to reopen after extensive works late 2008.
Boticas / Covas do Barosso area
Covas do Barosso is a small rural village where the local villagers tend to their animals and "live off the land", they all gather for the local festivals like in the first weekend of June where they have BBQ, and games and also a band playing for all to dance. See the local ladies bake their bread in the "communal bakehouse" in the village square.
Boticas: This is a small town just 10 minutes drive away. The town boasts two supermarkets, butchers, fish market a number of small shops, chemist, cyber café, bank, restaurants, markets on the 10th and 20th of the month. Boticas also holds a large festival during August usually around 15-22nd, the festival is a must if you are staying at the villas around this time.
Chaves: Chaves is the nearest city 35 minutes by car, the city hosts a number of shops, hotels, bars, restaurants, ceramic factories, banks also the famous spa springs and the famous roman bridge. Chaves is a lively city during the summer months, with plenty of night life. On the way into Chaves a Casino and hotel, ask for details about dinner and show bookings. – a night not to be missed.
Douro: The Douro and beautiful town of Pinho where all the major vineyards and port producers are situated are only 1hr beautiful drive away. This is a trip not to be missed, you will be able to visit various vineyards and sample their wines, port, but we highly recommend the Quinta de la Rosa. Visit the lovely train station of Pinho and marvel at the wall tiles and if you are lucky enough see the steam train arrive from Porto.
Oporto: This is the main city of Northern Portugal. It is well worth taking in a day at the city. The easiest way is to drive to Braga and catch the train into Porto San Bento station (1hr €2.00 each way). San Bento station is in the world heritage area of Porto, you can walk down to the river bank and visit some of the porto houses, the fantastic buildings and take in a meal and drink and watch the world go by.
There are many other towns which host a number of great sites, all the information is available at the villas in the guide to having a great time. Our guide can advise on all areas of interest and making any necessary bookings for you at vineyards etc.
Restaurants: The nearest restaurant is Vilar Casa on the way to Boticas, they serve traditional meals and wines at a unbelievable price. It is a family run business and the son speaks some English. There are a number of restaurants on the way into Boticas including a warm welcome at the Rio Becca Hotel situated just passed the roundabout near the bakery. Chaves hosts numerous restaurants. You will find a warm welcome at any of the restaurants that you go to in northern Portugal.
Wine Tour Holidays: We also offer tours of 5 & 7 days from £385.00 per person to include pick up from Porto airport, transfers, accommodation, vineyard visits, guide, one night in Porto prior to departure home. Min number in party is 6 persons. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We have a total of three Villas situated in Northern Portugal with large swimming pool, 10 bedrooms, can be let as one whole or three individual villas sleeping either 2 x 6 persons and 1 x 8 or the complete complex sleeping 20 person. Large garden area, based in rural position.
