Widemouth Bay beaches are 5 miles with the beach resort of Bude 7 miles. The north cornish coastline is famed for its stunning rugged coastline and is popular with walkers who enjoy the miles of National Trust coastal footpaths. Leading from the cottage is a pleasant 10 minutes walk down the farm lane (a profusion of spring and summer flowers- including honeysuckle, wild roses, fox gloves) to a tiny brook; with a further walk over to the small farm lake (free coarse fishing) and then continuing along the brook, through a meadow and back to the cottage. Smart enclosed children's play area with swings, climbing frame etc. Patio doors lead onto a rear patio garden (an all day sun trap, shielded from the breeze) with garden furniture, ideal for barbecues.
