The Sardinia region

Sardinia sits just south of the Island of Corsica in the blue Tyrrhenian Sea. The scenery is idyllic and the sea has a dazzling variety of colours from deep blue through to turquoise. Activities popular among visitors include horse trekking, ski-ing, golf, walking, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, scuba diving and other water sports.
The Weather is hot and dry in summer and mild and humid during the winter.
The average temperature is 19 °C. Sardinia enjoys a mild climate, with periods of high temperatures also during the winter. Autumn and spring are particularly pleasant with the summer hot but not unbearable. During the coldest months; December, January and February, the average temperature is about 8°C. During Spring, March, April and May, the average temperature is about 14-17°C, with brief moments of rain. At the beginning of June the average temperature reaches 22°C. in Sassari, 24.5°C in Nuoro, 21.5°C in Olbia and 23°C in Cagliari. In the higher areas in the north the average is about 19°C. During the hottest months, July and August, the temperature is on average 28°C along the south coast, while in the centre temperatures can reach 40-42°C. However the presence of the sea and the winds bring welcome relief on the hottest days. Sardinia does not have much rain.

Bosa area

Bosa is an ancient village on the west coast of Sardinia near to the mountains, crossed by the only navigable river on the island.
Bosa is an ideal holiday destination both for active types and those looking for a quiet romantic getaway. Only a short flight from the UK, it is both breathtakingly beautiful and steeped in history. Bosa has a simple yet magical appeal. You can spend your days ambling along the narrow streets admiring the architecture, visiting museums, drinking in the street cafés and bars, not to mention browsing the local shops. Bosa is a wonderful place to go away with children. Apart from the Italian love for children and emphasis on family, life is made easier by the apartment’s practical location - away from main roads and on the ground floor (no carrying buggies up stairs). The sea is calm, for young paddlers, and the sand soft and perfect for excavation!

How to get there

Bosa is about 40km from Alghero (nearest airport). London-Stansted to Alghero-Sardinia takes 2 hours with Ryanair, visit www.ryanair.com.
Car rental from £18 per day. There are buses and taxis from the airport to Bosa. The bus costs approximately 6 euros and taxis 65 euros

Two Bedrooms: 1 double (with TV-DVD) and 1 twin with bunk beds. Sleeps 4 plus a baby (a cot is provided).

Kitchen/Diner: Fully equipped kitchen-diner with gas cooker, large fridge-freezer, microwave oven, washing machine, dining table with 4 chairs and a high chair.

Bathroom: Newly fitted with shower, toilet, washbasin, bidet. There is also a small plastic bath for children.

25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance plus a £100 refundable deposit is due no later than 4 weeks prior to departure. €50 to be paid locally for linen, cleaning and utilities.

We are flexible with arrival and departure dates. We can accommodate bookings for less than the minimum required stay, however will charge the minimum. For example three nights in lower period will be £96.
