Home description
The house is located in the medieval heart of Bosa known as Sa Costa. Tight streets with tall, prettily painted houses flank the hill dominated by the Castello Malaspina. There is a fifteenth century cathedral down by the palm lined river front. It is here that the fishing boats moor when not a sea. The town is compact with shops, bars, restaurants and a weekly market all within a few minutes walking distance. Just down river at Bosa Marina the town beach has once again been ranked as one of the top 10 in Italy and given 5 flags by the Guida Blu. Bosa is a charming Sardinian town and whilst remaining unspoilt by tourism has a lot to offer.

The Sardinia region
Bosa is located on the North West side of Sardinia. This is a beautiful island set in the Mediterranean sea, with excellent restaurants offering simple, traditional Italian cuisine, as well as characterful bars where you can sample Italian wines along with the locals. You can wander through the streets of the old towns, sunbathe on one of the many beaches or relax on the property's terrace.
Bosa / Bosa Centre area
With the river Temo running through it down to the sea, the palm lined river frontage, medieval historic centre, castle, cathedral, huge sandy beaches, tiny coves accessible only by foot, boat trips, diving centre, wonderful climate and fantastic food there is something for everyone. Within 50km there are numerous nuraghic sites, the phoenician ruins at Tharros and the fantastic white quartz "rice" beaches at Is Arutas and Mari Ermi.
Bosa likes a good festival and the main ones are: Carnival in February - pagan mayhem Santa Maria del Mare (the first Sunday in August) Regnos Altos (second Sunday in September)
How to get there
Ryanair flies direct to Alghero from London Stansted, Liverpool, Dublin, East Midlands. There are several car hire companies at the airport but would advise against using Hertz, the Ryanair partner, because the queues are lengthy.
