The 4 Star Flora apartments opened in December 05 are situated just 50 metrrs from the nursery slopes and 50 metres from the main Gondola station. This modern complex boasts an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, fitness centre, games room, resaurants and an Irish bar. The living room/bedroom is spacious with a balcony looking onto the pine forests. It has a three seater sofa bed, two armchairs, a coffee table and cable TV.
The kitchen is separate with a breakfast bar and 2 stools. It provides a cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster and all the basic essentials. The separate bedroom is fitted with modern furniture and also has a balcony. The bathroom has a shower/bath with curtain and is off the central hallway, which serves all three rooms and there is plenty of wardrobe and storage space throughout this 3rd floor apartment.
This really is the ideal place for 2 couples or a family with 2 younger children to stay where you can relax and enjoy some of the best skiing in Bulgaria.

The Sofia/Rila Mountains region
This renowed mountain resort of Borovets is Bulgaria's oldest, most established and most popular ski resort. It is located at 1350m with the highest pistes at 2600m. The resort offers 23 ski runs and is ideally suited for beginners and intermediates although there are some interesting diversions for experts.
Borovets area
The Flora apartments are ideally situated in the centre of Borovets. Only 5 minutes walk from the Gondola station or the nursery slopes. Borovets has plenty to offer for apres-skiers and is well known for its lively nightlife. There are numerous restaurants and bars catering for your individual needs.
Non skiing activities: Skidoo Safari, Bowling alley nearby, Horse drawn sleigh rides, Bulgarian Folk Night, Winter walks. Visit the world famous Rila Monastery, the ancient city of Plovdiv or visit the Capital City of Sofia for sightseeing and shopping on your departure day. LIFE AFTER THE WINTER SEASON: As well as skiing, in the summer season BOROVETS makes an excellent base for mountain walking and hiking, mountain biking and horse riding and we can put you in touch with the right people. BOROVETS offers scores of scenic walking routes, by experienced guides. The organised trips lead to picturesque spots in the Rila Mountains like Seven Rila Lakes, peak Malyovitsa, peak Moussala, etc. Aphoto Safari and a visit to the Bulgarian kings' residence of Bistritsa are also regularly organized. Various trips to different tourist attractions throughout Bulgaria are offered as well.
How to get there
Fly to Sofia - Borovets is 1hour to 1 hour 20 mins max depending on weather conditions. Cheap direct flights from most regional airports - shop around on the internet. Car hire - look at mybg.com or bulgariaski.com Local buses run regularly between Sofia airport and Borovets. Private pickup can also be arranged. I can provide details of a Borovets bar owner who can arrange car or minibus transfer from airport to apartment and vice versa. They will even stop off at a supermarket ( very cheap ) so you can stock up the apartment with all the essentials on your first day.
