Our studio apartment is on level 1 (easy access) with two main ski and storage depots within 10 metres. The gondola station is about 3 minutes walk and the beginner slopes and ski runs with drag lifts and chair lifts are just across the road!

Bars and restaurants are just on your doorstep, perfect position! It has a balcony, 1 double bed, 1 sofa bed, kitchen area with cooker and hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and all kitchen utensils. Bathroom with ¾ bath, overhead shower with curtain, plus large heated towel rail.

The Sofia/Rila Mountains region

Borovets is located in the Rila mountains, approximately 70km from Sofia. It is Bulgaria's oldest and most popular ski resort. It is located amongst the pine forests at a height of 1350m in a very picturesque setting. The highest pistes are at 2550m.

Borovets area

In the winter Borovets is a popular ski resort and the most established in Bulgaria. The resort caters for all skiers and snowboarders at all levels, designed with international markings and multilingual signs. The Borovets ski school has more than 200 ski instructors fluent in foreign languages.

There are horse-drawn sleighs available for a pleasant trip around the resort. For the more adventurous, snow mobiles (Skidoos) are available. There are 24 slopes totalling more that 40 km in length, which descend from a high point of 2550 metres above sea level. Also, several floodlit pistes allow late night skiing and fun in the snow. Borovets offers fantastic après-ski and night-life to suit all ages. It has many bars and restaurant at very reasonable prices.

In the summer Borovets is just as marvellous offering clean and fresh air, it is surrounded by pine forests and this makes it an excellent centre for mountain walking and hiking, mountain biking and horse riding. You can also fish in the many local rivers and lakes, visit picturesque spots in the Rila Mountains like Seven Rila Lakes, peak Malyovitsa and peak Moussala which provide truly magnificent views. The Kings Residence is just a short walk away. Slightly further a field is the Rila Monastery, Bulgaria’s largest and most famous monastery, hidden high in the Rila mountains.

How to get there

Borovets is 65 km /40 miles south of Sofia. Transfer time is only approx. 1 hour from Sofia Airport.

Local buses run regularly between the airport and the resort. Our representative can arrange a return service between Sofia airport and the apartment. (approx. £55.00/67 Euros return 1 - 3 persons) please ask for details if required.

The Flora complex offers a wide range of facilities for relaxation and entertainment that guests can use for a small fee. These include an indoor heated swimming pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, Solarium, Steam Room and Gym. It also has a medical centre, Laundry facilities, Pub, Restaurant and secure parking if required.

The apartment has a balcony with a view towards the centre of Borovets village.

Outside there is a shared garden with children's play area.

Further details

A daily Maid service is provided to empty bins and undertake light cleaning 6 days per week. Our representative will meet you on arrival and pass over the keys and is on hand if you need anything during your stay also a welcome drink and information on the resort can be arranged with our representative if you so wished. He can also organise transfers, ski hire, snowboard hire, and lift passes, together with group or individual lessons at a very competitive rate. Please ask for details.

This is strictly a no smoking apartment.
No pets allowed.

A non-refundable deposit of £100 secures your booking. The balance to be paid 2 months prior to your arrival.

Payment can be by cheque, bank transfer or cash.

Cancellation

If you have to cancel your holiday for any reason, we are unable to refund your deposit. We are also unable to offer you a full refund once all monies have been paid. It is advisable to obtain personal holiday insurance policy to cover cancellations.

Breakage deposit:

Required on arrival is a refundable deposit of £100 in case of damage or breakages. This can be paid in GDP Euros or leva payable to our representative and refunded upon handing back the keys on departure.
