Quiet and peaceful, Eagle Rock is situated in the Chamonix style village of Beli Iskar near to the well known ski resort of Borovets. All amenities are easily accessible.
Our Penthouse Apartment benefits from the master bedroom having a luxury round double bed and South facing French Windows that open on to a balcony that overlooks the fabulous Rila Mountains. The Apartments' other balcony overlooks the unspoilt village of Beli Iskar and the Complex gardens below.

The Sofia/Rila Mountains region
Bulgaria has the longest ski season in Europe. Winter in the resort is relatively mild with loads of snow! Perfect for all winter sports. The average temperature during the coldest month January is 4.8C. The slopes of the Borovets can have snow cover from as early as November right through until April. The air in the Borovets is clear and free of any pollutants. Sofia the Capital is easily accessible - 1hr away, offering all you would expect from a Cosmopolitan City. Bulgaria has a long and colourful history .Visit the World Heritage Site of the Rila Monastery dating from 1335. This will give you a valuable insight into Bulgarian culture and traditions.
Borovets / Beli Iskar area
In the spring, summer and autumn, you can enjoy mountain climbing and walking tours. Tennis, hiking, horse riding, fishing, bird watching, golf and water sports are just a small selection of the activities available. Lake Iskar is near by, it is Bulgaria's largest inland lake. The lake is a magnet for tourists particularly in summer time and at the weekends for picnics, swimming and boating. Jeep safaris and Quad Biking are also on offer in the region and you can visit parts of the lake that are particularly hard to access.
How to get there
There are several daily flights readily available from the Uk to Sofia. Use the internet booking search engines to find the most suitable flight for your requirements. EasyJet is a good example. Try Opodo or Last Minute.com and don't forget companies like First Choice, Crystal and Balkan Holidays as they offer charter flights to Sofia. There are many flight options - British Airways have daily direct flights and the budget airlines lines are increasing the amount of flights available. Eagle Rock is easy to get to from Sofia Airport. There is a shuttle service provided from Eagle Rock for a fee of approx 70 Euros or you can hire a car. If travelling by taxi we recommend that you book a car from inside the airport on arrival.
