The complex offers a number of facilities to enjoy during your stay and with the resort enjoying 150 days of snow cover every year it makes a wonderful ski location. The Sofia/Rila Mountains region
Situated in the South East of Europe, Bulgaria is a beautiful and unspoiled country. In addition to over two hundred kilometres of sandy coastline, Bulgaria has Europe's longest ski season.
The ski season runs from December to April with snow cover of more than 1½ meters. For downhill skiers and snow boarders, the resort currently offers 18 well kept and lift-equipped ski runs, a total of 40 kilometres in length, descending from a height of 2,560m with a maximum vertical drop of 1,420m. Winter sports - Skiing, Snow boarding, cross country, snowmobiling, night skiing and ice skating are all available.
Borovets area
Borovets is 80 kilometres (about 1 hours travel) from the capital city Sofia, bustling with fashionable shops and historic monuments. Eagle Rock Apartments is located on the main road from Borovets to the stunning Rila National Park, an excellent place to visit, with rare plants and animal species, attracting visitors all year round. The centre of Beli Iskar is just off the main road. Cafés and some small shops are available.
In the spring, summer and autumn, you can enjoy walking tours, climbing, tennis, hiking, horse riding, fishing, bird watching, golf and water sports at the nearby Lake Iskar.
How to get there
Many Airlines now travel from the UK to Sofia. Even the budget airlines line EasyJet have moved in. Internet booking search engines are a good place to start when looking for airfares. Try Opodo or Last Minute.com and don't forget companies like First Choice, Crystal and Balkan Holidays as they offer charter flights to Sofia.
Getting to Eagle Rock from the airport is not difficult. Just hire a car or take a yellow cab outside the arrivals hall, for the one hour journey to the mountains.

The kitchen has a modern design with organic materials that make this space an essential part of the apartment. The floors are laminated parquet and the furniture is made from light-brown oak - everything in an authentic Bulgarian style. Functionality is the key feature of this facility. Each living room has a large TV space combining maximum comfort with entertainment. The apartment has a balcony, with splendid views over the Pirin and Rila Mountains.
Further details outdoors: There is a private ski locker outside, so you don't have to trudge through the complex with your wet skis and ski-boots on.
