The ski apartment has a large balcony from which to enjoy the beautiful nature and scenery of Borovets. The apartment provide bright and luxuriously furnished accommodation and can comfortably accommodate 4 people.

The Sofia/Rila Mountains region
Borovets is an alpine-type resort that provides excellent opportunities for a range of winter sports. Twice hosting World Cup Alpine skiing rounds, the resorts biathlon track is one of the best in the world. Borovets ski slopes have a permanent snow cover from November to May that averages more than 1.5 meters.
Borovets lies at the foot of Mount Moussala in the northern part of the Rila Mountains at an altitude of 1350 meters, 73 kilometers southeast of Sofia, easily accessible by road.
Established at the end of the 19th century as a hunting place for the Bulgarian kings, Borovets developed into a modern ski resort with upscale accommodations, attractive local restaurants and an excellent network of ski runs and lifts along the slopes of the Rila Mountains, providing excellent opportunities for the whole range of winter sports – from Alpine and heli-skiing to cross-country skiing, ski jumps and biathlon, to snow-mobiling, snow-boarding, ice skating and more.
Within 20 to30 minutes’ drive there is the highly regarded Ihtiman golf course, the nearby towns of Kostenets and Samokov, with facilities for shopping and eating out, a private airfield offering light aircraft flights over the area for about £40, and boating facilities on the very beautiful and impressive Lake Iskar. Slightly further afield is the Rila Monastery (about 90 minutes), Bulgaria’s largest and most famous monastery, founded in 927 AD and hidden high in the Rila mountains.

For downhill skiers and snow boarders, Borovets offers 18 well kept and lift equipped ski runs totaling over 40 kilometers in length, descending from a high point of 2,560 meters above sea level, with a maximum vertical drop of 1,420 meters. The Borovets ski season runs from December through to April with a snow cover of more than 1.5 meters. It also has snow guns for producing snow, and some slopes are illuminated for skiing at night.

There are slopes of varying degrees of difficulty suitable for skiers of all skill levels. All ski runs are marked according to international standards with signs in several languages.
Excellent Borovets Ski Schools & Beginner Slopes
Borovets has an excellent ski school with over 200 professional ski instructors, speaking English, German, French and Russian. Group and private lessons are available at reasonable rates. Beginners start the week on the nursery slopes but by the end of the week everyone is heading for the gondola lift and the more challenging runs.
