About the home

The apartment , which was completed in December 2005, is situated in the architectural award-winning Flora complex. It is ideally located in the centre of the resort and is about 100 metres from the main gondola station. It is also within easy reach of other ski lifts, shops, restaurants, bars etc. This well-proportioned apartment is on the third floor, with 57 sq.m. of living space. It consists of one bedroom, a living room, a separate kitchenette, a spacious bathroom and hallway. The apartment is furnished to a high standard and the complex offers a range of facilities for relaxation and entertainment.

Borovets is a popular ski resort that has twice hosted World Cup competitions. It has very good snow reliability and snow cover is usually around 150 days a year. The season stretches from mid-December to mid-April. There are 24 slopes totalling more that 40 km in length, which descend from a high point of 2550 metres above sea level. The runs which are set in stunning scenery, are arranged with international markings and multi-lingual signs. Although the resort caters for all standards of skier, it is ideally suited for beginners and those of intermediate standard. Snowboarders of all levels should find this a great place to practice their skills.
For the more more adventurous, cross country and biathlon tracks, as well as ski jumps and snow mobiles, are available. The ski school, which has an international reputation, offers individual and group tuition.

Borovets is pleasantly cool during the summer and there are some great hiking trails in the Rila mountains. In particlar, Mount Moussala, Malyovitsa and the seven Rila lakes provide wonderful walks with truly magnificent views.

The Sofia/Rila Mountains region

Borovets nestles among ancient pine forests in the Rila mountains. It is located 1350 m above sea level, where the air is crystal clear and free from pollution. There are various places of interest nearby, including:
- Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, with its galleries, museums, shops and the magnificent Alexender Nevski church;
- the historic city of Plovdiv, with its beautiful old town and Roman ruins;
- the Rila monastery, which was founded in the 10th century;
- Govedartsi, a picturesque village;
- the Bulgarian King's residence, which is just a short walk from the apartment.

A short drive from Borovets is the Ihtiman golf coarse, some natural spas and Land Iskar, which offers watersports.

The Borovets area

There is a lively night life in Borovets during the ski season. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs and, as the resort is quite compact, you don't have to travel far to enjoy what is on offer. Prices are cheap and so enjoying yourself shouldn't be too hard on your pocket.

Mountain biking and horse riding are avaialble within the resort. There are also horse-drawn sleighs available for a pleasant trip around the resort.

Taxis are cheap and plentiful.

To secure a booking, please complete a booking form and return it along with 25% of the rental charge. The balance of the rental charge must be sent two months prior to commencement of the holiday.

A refundable deposit of £100 (payable in £sterling, Euros, or Bulgarian levs) to cover possible loss or damage, must be paid to our representative on arrival. This will be repaid at the end of the holiday, following his inspection.

As no refunds of rental payments will be made, we stongly urge you to take out holiday insurance to cover yourself against the risk of a late cancellation.
