The traditional features and character of the old house have been maintained throughout, including the stone staircase, wood beamed ceilings, tiled floors and exposed brickwork, but now also offers all the modern comforts to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
The country house is located on a pretty farm growing olives and peaches and offers a real countryside retreat, whilst still being only 4km from the nearest village.
This apartment comprises of 2 spacious double bedrooms, modern bathroom with shower, fully equipped kitchen-diner with open plan lounge area. The apartment sleeps from 2-6 people.

The Tuscany region

Summer is the busiest time in Tuscany, but the vibrancy and allure is not lost in the spring and autumn seasons, when you can enjoy outside dining, relaxing walks, and visits to the many olive groves and vinyards in the region.
Borgo San Lorenzo / Vicchio area
The Mugello Valley is as yet undiscovered by many but still offers the beautiful scenery and charm of Tuscany. It is a perfect location for exploring Tuscany and beyond and with the wide range of activities in the area there is something to offer to everyone who visits. A 40 minute drive through the hillside will take you to Florence, with Pisa being just 110 km away and Siena 95km, and you can be in Rome within one and a half hours by train from Florence.
The nearby towns of Scarperia, famous for its production of knives, Vicchio, Borgo San Lorenzo and Barberino di Mugello offer a calender of events throught the year, including flower shows, antique fairs, gastranomic festivals and open air concerts, and they also have the wonderful cuisine that we have all come to expect of the beautiful region of Tuscany.
Lake Bilancino, just a 15 minute drive away, offers watersports including sailing, skiing, wind surfing and fishing, and there is an excellent golf course 15 minutes away. Just some of the other activities include guided excursions, hill walking, horse riding and motor racing at the Mugello Autodrome and wine tasting evenings.
How to get there
There is a choice of airports - Florence is 35km away, Bologna G.Marconi airport (not Fiorli) 65km and Pisa 110km www.ryanair.com and www.easyjet.com offer cheap flights to Pisa. www.Meridiana.com flies into Florence. It is necessary to hire a car, and there are a number of car hire companies at the airports

Further details indoors: The apartment is light and airy and is kept cool in the summer and warm in the winter by the original thick walls and there also central heating. The property has wooded beams and part exposed brickwork throughout and is tastefully decorated to a high standard, offering furniture that is in keeping with the old age of the building.

Booking Deposit: a non re-fundable deposit of 30% of the total price is required at the point of booking, with the remaining 70% payable no later than 8 weeks before the date of arrival. Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of Euro 150 is payable on arrival
Cancellation Policy: In the event of the guest cancelling a booking, the following portions of the total price will be retained by the owner: More than 8 weeks before arrival date 30% 6-8 weeks 75% 6 weeks or less 100% No show 100% In the unlikely event of the owner having to cancel, the guest will be refunded the full 100%.
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Conditions
Prices include bed linen and bath towels, water, electricity, final cleaning, cots for babies. Additional cleaning can be arranged, details to be confirmed on booking. There is a cost of 50 Euro per week for gas and heating.
A refundable security deposit of 150 Euro is required on arrival. The full deposit will be returned at the end of the stay provided that there is no damage to the property or furnishings
