The property is a small chateaux more than 100 years old, which originally was a wine producing property and was owned by the same family for generations. It is situated amongst the wines in a beautiful countryside in South Western France, in the north of Gironde in a small village.

The recidence consists of the main house, where the danish owner lives and two identical houses for renting next to each other. The gites are located in an old stable, which have been tastefully restored and offeres privacy and own terraces. The property is approx. 10.000 m2 and is available for guests to enjoy.

Coming to Coindrias will provide you a vacation in quiet and relaxing surroundings, offering pool and playground at the gites for the children, and for the parents a visit in near by Bordeaux, offering all sorts of shopping, metropol atmosphere, restaurants and bars and the beautiful boulevards and green spots all over.

The Nord Gironde is softly hilled and is very suited for walking as well as bycycling tours. 4 bicycles are available.

The pool is shared between the two gites and garden furniture is available

Both gites serves well 4 persons and contains a living room with dining area and with fully equipped kitchen. All is restored tastefully and to a high standard. New mattresses and down duvets in all beds. Modern family bathroom in scandinavian style. Bathroom towels are provided, pool and beach towels must be brought. High chair and childrens bed available on request.

On request there might be room for 2 additional persons in each gite ( extra 20 euro per person charged)

The property is approx. 10.000 m2 and can be enjoyed by guests. The pool is 10 x 5 meters and has an alarm system to ensure safety for minors. It is covered every night to keep the temperature stable. Pets may be allowed on request.

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

Aquitaine and Gironde offers a number of interesting activities. Wine production is the heart of Gironde and there are lots of possibilities for tasting wines and for visiting the wine properties.

The weather in Gironde is mainly warm and dry from April to Mid October.In June and July temperatures can and will exceed 28C. August is warmer and temperatures will exceed 32C. September is a bit cooler but still very nice. In October the wines are harvested right next to the gites.

Even in October and November there are very nice days with up to 16-18C and full sun.

Bordeaux

In the gite a guide to activities and tour suggestions can be found including a number of tourist brochures.

Blaye (15km) is located at the riverside of the Gironde and is dominated by the Citadelle, which is a manifique fortress which is a "must see". The tide can be seen all along the riverside of Gironde. A small ferry takes you from Blaye over the Gironde river to the Medoc peninsula, where the exceptional "route de chateau" can be followed and a number of the most famous wine groving castles can be seen. At some of them a wine tasting is offered.

Along the Gironde riverside there are several bird sanctuaries and for the ornithology interested this is a "must see".

Every day there is a market in one of the near by villages. In Montendre (12km) there is in July and August a weekly "night-market", where you can listen to music and eat together with the locals in the streets.

Golf can be played in Montendre as well. Green fee is 10 euro.

In Etauliers (3 km) you can once a month rent a go-cart (10 Euro) and try it yourself.

Magnificant underground caves can be seen a number of places within a short distance. Guided tours available as well.

The Gironde area is softly hilled and very well suited for bycycling tours. Old railways have been turned into bycycling routes and maps can be provided at the tourist offices. 4 bicycles are available for guests.

St. Emilion (50 km) is a fascinating, extremely charming, small village surrounded by some of the most famous castles and is a "must see".

Archachon (100 km) is the city at the costline south of Bordeaux, where the "Bordelaiser" have there summer recidences. It is a high class shopping area with restaurants and cafe's and of course the beach. Near by is the "Dune du Pilat" - the greatest dyne in Europe, which a visit worth while.

Bordeaux (55 km) is an aristocratic beautiful city, with shopping, restaurants and bars, boulevards and green spots all over, which is a "must see".

"Beautiful property"
