Most of the horizon surrounding Alta Vista is undeveloped so when you are sitting on your private balcony you get the feeling this is how Boracay should be enjoyed, in style, in comfort and in beautiful, natural surroundings.

The Visayas region

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies.[Note 1] The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak in the municipality of Malay, in Aklan Province. The island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation.[10][11] It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife.[12]

In 2012, Boracay was awarded as the best island in the world from the international travel magazine Travel + Leisure.[13][14]

Boracay is one competitive venue for the Asian Windsurfing Tour,[41] with the week-long Boracay International Funboard Cup competition usually held in January on Bulabog Beach. The well-known Ati-Atihan Festival takes place each January in Kalibo on nearby Panay island. A much smaller Ati-Atihan festival is celebrated on Boracay, usually in the second or third week of January.[citation needed]

"If you really want to be on holliday"

I have been there 4 times in the past 4 years, so this place may have something else than being the beast deal on Boracay. It is where I feel as being on hollidays.

The condo itself is comfortable and is located within a complex were I find what I am looking for. It may be far from White Beach known as being one of the nicest beach in the world but their shuttle service is efficient. A minibus is leaving the lobby every hour and will drop you in the heart of Boracay where everything or almost in in walking distance. If you make it on schedule, you will rarely wait.

If one day, you don't feel to go to this marvelous but how crowdy beach, then go the private beach of the hotel and enjoy Puka Beach, a nice alternative. Less crowdy than White Beach, it may be sometimes rough when there are heavy winds but otherwise, you can enjoy a day under the sun. I like to do snorkeling there even though it is not always easy.

If you feel doing nothing, then choose the pool. Pretty sure that you will take a picture of it. A little crowdy when there are multiple arrivals but normally, it is a quiet area. The restaurant is also a good choice choice especially when Wrenwren or Marshall are cooking. Try their pinakbet. I enjoy it even if I am not vegetables addicted.

The personel here is one of their big plus. I feel as being home each and every time I am back. Dedicated, always willing to help, very friendly. I can even ask their nurse to check my pressure from time to time. It would not be that easy to get such kind of service where I am coming from.

If you want to relax during your hollidays while having a chance to have fun if you feel for it, it is the place to go. There is much more in the downtown area but you may often have to give up your tranquility and it is noisy and crowdy. It is why I choose Alta Vista and why I would recommend to stay there for a week or more. Not to say that it would be hard to find a better deal on Boracay.
